They are your opinions but honestly they are funny, people like you are the ones i was thinking about when i started this thread. No serious fighter will say that a forum is a faster and easier way to learn. But go ahead instead of going to the gym come here log in and get your fighting education on.

So in short your saying to be good in boxing you must always live inside the gym and never go home? My bad once again, we have a different tradition here, after finishing our training we usually go home and eat and do some research if maybe they have any doubts or want to ask for opinions from different angles. You can't say that what you do is right simple cause another person did the same. People have different methods and your just an arrogant **** and at this rate no matter how good you are without discipline your nothing.

EDIT: You are no one to judge others cause in the end of the day your the one with 6k+ posts

LOL there are a lot of methods to learn but to say the internet is a quicker and easier way to learn kills all your credibility. The internet is a tool with a lot of information but is not the main source and it cant be.

I've now been to five different boxing gyms and had five different coaches. I can honestly say that only one of those coaches was a good coach. The other four either spent most of there time in their office, sat smoking and drinking tea with their buddies or shouted random words of encouragement without ever taking time to explain or correct technique.

The problem with boxing gyms these days is that the coaches don't know how to coach and a lot of the ones that do don't give a ****.

While we can't take everything on this forum as gospel, we can learn a lot from knowledgeable posters and share our own boxing experiences.

In conclusion, I've learn't a lot form this forum and see it as a valuable source of boxing knowledge.

    There. That's why.
I wouldn't expect Mayweather, Marquez, or the Klitschko brothers to log in and ask for advice. But there are tons of amateurs who could very well be on their way to something in need of small details.
The reason I ended up in ESB was because I was looking for info. on specific headgear. From there, questions just kept coming.
If you truly believed what you said, you would've let this died long ago. But it's some sort of lose pride that made you post in the first place.
    Losen up guy.

so your saying that only 1 out of 5 people that owned their own gym and made a professional living coaching boxers was a competent coach?

how does that factor out to keyboard warriors? 1 out of every 40 people who give you advice might know what their talking about?

too many cooks spoil the broth.

really, before you try any advice from people on the internet, you should ask your coach or atleast google the living day lights out of it before you go ahead and put it into your program.

Asking questions and gathering opinion is a good thing. I'm sure not everyboxing coach knows it all and so asking questions and discussing training and techniques helps build a picture of what advice other have been given and what training regimes etc they use. This helps open the mind and not fall in to the trap of ignorance.

one of the posters on here has trained a few world champions and a lot of fighters who you all will have heard of, Britiash, European and World level. I wont name him as he likes being anonymous but when you are picking the brain of someone who is arguably the best coach in the UK then that is pretty useful :)

LOL funny that they dont trust their coach and come to the conclusion he doesnt know wtf he's doing but they trust some guy they dont even know behind a keyboard typing from who knows where... and honestly you must know more than your coach to come to the conclusion that what he's telling you doesnt work or is not right..

You bring up some great points, I just like conversing I guess about different aspects of the game, but I trust my coach word over anyone elses.
