Why so much Froch hate?

I don't hate him, he's just annoying when he starts **** with other British fighters. Trying to make out like he's the greatest and offers better entertainment than any other.

:good An objective analysis from a fellow fan of the Cobra's, which I enjoyed reading! Like you, I believe that with a different trainer he may well have become a "Better" boxer, but Carl Froch knows what's best for him and trying to him that he is wrong about most things must be an exercise in futility:)! But I suppose that it is that very pugnacity, allied to his obstinate nature (along with his often under appreciated skills) that makes him a world class fighter!

    I think you're a delusional **** too.

Did you really think Dirrell deserved to win that fight?

No, nor did all the other non-British judges.

    :patsch

I'm a fan of Froch's and I must admit I scored the fight for Dirrell!! It was extremely close though and I couldn't blame Froch for the judges decision!

Aside from everything else, I don't know how you can hate him when he's taking on the type of opposition he is.

I mean he genuinely wanted to fight Calzaghe, even though there wasn't much chance of it happening. Calzaghe retired and that slim chance was gone, so he fights Jean Pascal for the vacant title - now one of the best 175's around. He goes abroad and fights Jermain Taylor in his first defence. He comes back and signs up for the Super Six to fight Dirrell (not his fault he got the decision), Kessler and Abraham. That's what boxing is all about.

Exactly, close fight. All this hometown decision crap is bollocks.

The ring magazine whose arse most of these haters lick even gave it to Froch!

It was a close fight get over it.

If Dirrell turns up to fight against AA he may have a better chance.

I will debate any statement I make, and may change my mind. The question is will you consider the perspective I have on Froch...

I'm obviously a big JC fan but I don't old what Froch did against him. He's a fighter trying turn earn money in an era when t.v. would rather show kareoke on national t.v. He's got to say things that will get him attention ala Tyson Fury.

In my opinion it is perfectly alright for someone not to like froch. But by God you have to respect him!

And as for the 'rough house tactics' in the Dirrell fight. If a guy ducks from the waist against me, I'm gonna hit him in the back of the head! At no point in a fight should you take your eye's off you opponent by either turning your back or ducking from the waist. Dirrell did both and got hit in the back of the head when he did both. This is boxing not ballet.

I don't really like the guy, and he says plenty of **** that annoys the hell out of me, but objectively: he turns up in shape, he turns up to fight, and he gives it his all.

The sport needs more people with his drive and mentality.

The Ring mag and Boxing News reports I read on Froch vs Dirrell both had Froch winning. They are the only 2 reports I have read on the fight. I thought it could have gone either way. There would have been an outcry if it had of gone the other way also though.

I respect Froch, how can you not respect a guy like him...
I'm obvisously not his biggest fan though.

If you talk about ducking bellow the waist that's illegal, but Dirrell didn't
do it everytime Froch rabbit punched him, and even if he did
he's not allowed to do it.
Froch also hit clearly after the break on at least two occasions, and towards the end of the fight he held as well. No double standards here?

Because he's a disgrace to the sweet science and his defense is terrible. He only wins because of his power, chin, and moderate boxing skills which is C level at best. The dude keeps getting lucky, he was lucky to knock out Jermain Taylor in the 12th round, he was lucky to get a decision against Andre Dirrell. And I don't consider someone who leaves his chin wide open an intelligent boxer, because he's definitley NOT an intelligent boxer.

I wouldn't use Dirrell as an example mate.

I was a big fan of Froch and so was most of ESB, but in the post-interview after Dirrell put me off him. He did act like a bit of a ****, but I still like him I spose.
