Why some boxers go to cruiserweight division if the money is in the heavyweights?

Haye made 20 million against Wladimir. Povetkin made 6 million. Fury made 6 million.

Povetkin made that money because his handlers bought the rights for 23m. His own side paid him that money.

Haye and Fury made their money from Sky PPV. Haye's trash talk sold the Klitschko fight to half of the UK. They wouldn't have made anything close to that sum without the backing of Sky.

And it was 15m , not 20m Haye made from the Wlad fight. He made 12m from Valeuv which was again down to PPV sales on Sky Sports.

    K2 only pay pittance.

Charles Martin was the IBF Champ, he received the majority of the purse split.

Vitali was the WBC Champ in the fights you just mentioned.

Do you have no grasp of context?

Martin knew he wasn't going to earn a fraction of that money against anybody else. Thats why he cashed himself out. Belt -less Joshua was the money man.
What can't you understand about that?

This makes no sense, you contrasted the earnings of a Champion in a voluntary defense to two challengers that Vitali voluntarily defended his WBC title against. Of course Chisora and Briggs earned less.
