    It has much to do with his race, skin colour and nationality. Unfortunately. Most casuals and fans don't look past that

    You know as well as I do that is only the case with a very very small minority of people. Unless everyone that doesn't like him is a racist? How do you feel when people call you a racist for not liking a white fighter MVC ?

    They seem to love him in Canada. I also like him as a person and a fighter. He has heart and a good personality.

    Exactly my point. Lennox is my favourite fighter but I don't like Stevenson, so it's not because of his race that I don't like him, see my point? Not everyone that dislikes Stevenson does so because of his race like you said.

    Ridiculous.

    If he was white/asian/latino/inuit/mesopotamian/nordic/oceanic/indian, etc. and had done what he'd done, most people who dislike him would still do so.

    Not pretending that there aren't some out there who seize on something like this and use it as an excuse to justify their own bigoted tendencies, but you're taking the easy way out if you think it is the biggest factor. You're also not giving anyone else any credit for having an educated pov.

    Unlike Stevenson, people refused to attend Hilton fights after the news became public and he got out of prison.

    No, the fact that Stevenson lured these women in saying he loved them, then held them in captivity and forced them to prostitute themselves, beating them brutally when they did not earn enough or secretly talked of escaping. I think there comes a point where you have to ask yourself if a person is deserving of "entertaining the public" or being promoted, given his past transgressions. But, clearly, some of these managers and promoters are even bigger prostitutes.

    Since he's from HAITI I bet he went thru hell. He's now in a humane environment and he has a home in Quebec
