We've all made mistakes. That's not the point. It is the degree of the crime. When do you say "enough?" Where do you draw the line? I draw the line when you do irreparable damage to another human being. Irreparable. The only reason Stevenson got off as lightly as he did is because others saw dollar signs. I am sure boxing promoters saw a potentially big payday with him and, therefore, pushed that he only get 4 years for his crime. I could be wrong. I don't know what the sentence is for something like this but it seems on the light side to me. I would think you would be looking at more like 12 years, which would have put him behind the 8-ball for a boxing career.
Did Stevenson murder someone? I must have missed that. Malcomb X was an ex-pimp who went on to become an inspiration to his people.
You don't know whether Stevenson got a light sentence or not but figure that the promoters got him off lightly. Funny that Tyson didn't get off lightly for that bs crime he was charged with. You don't like Stevenson! that's fine. However I do wonder whether you are holding him to a stricter standard for some unspoken reason.
I'm surmising. I don't know. Yeah, I don't like the guy. You got that right. I don't like him because of his actions. It is not hard to figure out why. I don't like Davey Hilton either. It is not hard to figure out why. Anyone who does to women what these guys did don't deserve to be looked up to and promoted. I don't care how big a smile Adonis has today after he KO's somebody. The guy is seriously flawed, in my opinion. If he wasn't making money fighting he would be back pimping or worse, and maybe will be again, when the money runs out. Time will tell.
You're an idiot if you think ***ually enslaving someone is some"mistake" someone makes. It's a callous, evil decision and speaks volumes for the persons mind. A mind that shouldn't be in a society. You're just not intelligent enough to understand the gravity of his actions.
Did his race make him force young girls to sell their bodies, and **** and abuse them? I think people deserve second chances, and once thy've served their time and grew as ppl they should be forgiven, but I also think there are a few crimes like murder, ****, or child abuse that should never be forgiven or forgotten
The crimes he committed weren't some spur-of-the-moment mistakes that anyone could have made; it was a pattern of evil behaviour that only someone sick could commit. The "we all make mistakes argument" is fvcking ridiculous when it relates to disgusting crimes like this.
henke, herg, exactly. Cslb, you can't be serious, were shallow for being appalled at his actions? How old are you, what world do you live in, holy **** you shoulda been aborted.
