Why such a horrible undercard?

How on earth do you not consider Rigondeaux v Cordoba a decent match up? :patsch

Yea its all fights where there really is not much chance of an upset. Makes it kind of boring. The only possible upset im seeing is Jones-Karass but highly doubt it.

Dude, aside from Pavlik pulling out...this is still one of the best undercards I've seen on a PPV event in a long time. Rigondeaiox is fighting... why are you crying? Look at the crap Goldenboy puts on their undercards normally...than you'll have a reason to complain.

well Rigo is something like a 6-1 favorite.

I think it's a good matchup though. But if you think good matchup = competitive fight, then oddsmakers have Pacquiao vs MArgarito as a more competitive fight than Rigondeaux vs Cordoba.

This isn't anything new. Good undercards went out with DKP and the emergence of primadonna main event stars.

Keep this in mind. Felix Trinidad fought Campas on an undercard for a Tyson fight. That **** just doesn't happen anymore and for a reason. Promoters have to buck big dollars and percentages for the main event. So much that they don't have much left to spend on an undercard.

Every dude out there with a bit of talent thinks he's the next Mike Tyson who is solely responsible for filling a stadium. The truth is anything but that. We will not see stacked cards involving P4P names until control returns to the promoter.

What is so good about this card though?
Rigondeux does have a tough opponent but he is kind of overrated due to that war with the B level fighter from Ireland. I am kind of excited to see him on the big stage though.

The other bouts are more than likely going to be one sided beatings.

I'm not saying it is, but I'm just tired of this crap. If I want to watch Rigondeaux beat up on someone I rather do it for free of charge watching it on ESPN 2 but not as the co-main event of a $55 PPV event.

According to Boxrec, he's also taken Poonsawat to a SD and beaten Caballero. Ok, it might be a good few years back but that's a decent resume.

The Rigo fight should be good and fighters coming up like Jones and Rios need some impressive stoppages or ko's to get some exposure to fans that don't know them yet even if they are knocking out nobodies. Karass is not a bad fighter, abit inconsistent, but if he can take Jones power he can make it a hard fight for Jones and that's a big if.
