Anybody notice this? Guys like Ali, Hopkins Mayweather, Leonard, etc. Always talk about how great they are.

And then the more aggressive fighters rarely do this and just go out and knock people the F out.

Because they have mastered a craft that others could not?

I think it's because they are insecure. They lack the heart, power, chin or courage to fight toe to toe.

Because they secretly wish they had the ***** to go out there and take risks and have the crowd go wild like Tyson, Pacquiao and other offensive fighters did. They have to be vocal to get noticed.

I think they want the glory but only boxing hipsters or super incredible hardcover fans love them.

They will never win the crowd the way the natural born fighters do.

    So what's Juan Manuel Marquez?

A "technician" or a "natural born fighter"?

Since when are those mutually exclusive concepts or at opposite ends of a linear scale?

Terence Crawford seems pretty laid back.

Marquez is popular but not THAT much. He's still a counter puncher that mostly waits for the other guy, even though he's much more fan friendly that runners like Mayweather or Sweet Pea.

I'm glad the casual fans get behind guys that make fights happen. They are the ones that take the risks and make fights exciting, there would be no fight if someone doesn't go first. Those guys deserve the adulation.

Because they use their minds more than any other part of the body in that ring...aka boxing iq. They know these so called crowd pleasing fighters cant fight any other way so they do the"blood and guts" thing lmao. So the arrogance comes from them knowing these guys cant beat them unless they get old or some **** like that. So theyre basically laughing at face first fighters and the fans that worship them...just like mostly everyone else who knows their ****...

If they were great though people know it. People know how great these guys are. It comes off as petty boasting.

Hearns could box very well but loved to brawl and it cost him some fights but no one cares about that because everyone remembers him for being a crowd-pleaser that took risks and laid people the **** out in brutal fashion.

Holyfield could box but loved to brawl and everyone remembers him for the warrior he was.

Because they have to overcompensate since they know deep down they'll never be a real man like Kovalev or Golovkin so they run their mouths a lot, kind of like rednecks driving monster trucks and muscle cars because they have small wieners.

I take offense to that...I don't drive a monster truck or a muscle car.
