He gets no coverage here in the uk on TV skysport itv etc, just a small side note in local paper,
I think that showtime have looked after froch better than we have, I am ashame to say that,
whilst we invest millions in a hyper fight between audely harrison and haye,
and it pains me to say that the average american may know of Carl froch than the british !!!!!

It's because he's not "Media good looking" so doesn't fit in with their bubble.

At the end of the day if he had Frank Warren promoting him he'd be as big as guys like David Haye/Amir Khan in the UK right now.

Froch isn't concerned about celebrity though, he just wants to get the right fights made and theres no doubt in my mind why he's with Mick Hennesey rather than with someone like Warren

There is an odd lack of public support for carl froch much in the same way we treated clinton woods sadly until the supersix carl froch had to scrape for deals which is sickening when you consider that more money was invested in audley harrison. i have always been a fan of all british boxers and appreciate them for there talents

I think Froch is a little misunderstood, he's one of those guys that cracks what he thinks is a joke and people take it seriously. He can be somewhat delusional, but he's funny as **** I think.

Can also come across as a little over confident and cocky, which is not a trait that washes with most Brits.

And lastly I have to say his promoter isnt very good imo.

Most boxing enthusiasts in the US are non biased.. Froch has to be not just a top performer but a great guy to watch, very viewer friendly.. His beating of Abraham was in the same vein as Calzaghes win over Lacy.. a tough fight made to look so easy because of the class and style difference.. Karl was very disciplined for once.. He and Ward will be a great fight.. I'd love to see him fight Pascal again at light heavyweight..

To be fair, his girlfriend and her tits don't count as a huge fan base.

That is how I feel about him... Is he one of my favorite fighters? No. But I like watching him fight and I love watching his interviews.
