I was watching ESPN this morning and they actually showed a 2minute highlight clip of the Klitschko fight, but there was no expert commentary or information. Just the usual ESPN one liner highlight. So I thought of this question. We're all hardcore boxing fans here and are salivating at the mouth for July 26th to get here, but to the casual sports fan. They may not be aware of "THE BATTLE". If you were given the oppurtunity to be on ESPN to try and convince the casual/general sports fan to order or tune in to watch "THE BATTLE" . How would you go about it, and what would you tell them to combat the "WHY" question? Also it doesn't only have to be my ESPN scenerio. Just in general to say a co-worker, friend, family member, or just a perfect stranger at the bus stop. "THE BATTLE" should be a great fight and it would be ashame if people outside the boxing circle missed out on what boxing is really and all about.
Believe me everyone that knows me has heard about the fight from my mouth and is probably goind to watch the fight. Ive been wearing my antonio margarito shirt and once they ask me who he is I give them a 12 minute mental beating:bbb with a lexture...just like a hardcore boxing fan would. After im finished with them they are just as excited as I am to watch the fight.:happy
i believe the media isnt hyping this fight the way it should be, but we all know they are still watching
well here is what I would tell them: watch this fight. its free over the net if you use google so you have nothing to lose. and once you figure out how to watch it free you can make it a habit and start enjoying more fights.
