Why the dislike for Rocky Marciano

Yes obviously if moore went on to have title matches and beat top contenders then he was "world class". Thats common sense.

It doesnt change the fact Moore had been in 170 fights and was 38. Hopkins was "world class" when he fought Kovalev since he came off impressive wins over much younger fighters like shumenov. It doesnt change the fact he was 50 with wear and tear.

So for Rocky to get dropped by Moore and nearly lose his belt says more about Rocky then Moore. If he had just went in there and beat his ass without hardly getting hit it wouldnt be as bad. A close comparison would be Joshua vs Klitschko. Klitschko was world class by virtue of defending the belt for like a decade but it doesnt change the fact he was 40 coming off a loss. Klitschko dropped joshua and nearly had him out of there. The fact its Joshuas best win is pretty bad in all honesty, it speaks to a weak era or Joshua has had careful matchmaking.

As for Foreman, i have eyes. Obviously Foreman had better pacing and stamina and was more responsible with his defense, but "better"...? Thats subjective. Foreman was a lot more vicious back then. He had you hurt, the commentators literally feared for your life. He was faster, threw more punches, went to the body, and would actually slip under punches and occasionally use lateral movement to set up shots and avoid them.

As for old foremans opponents, i give them credit for beating him with an asterisk *. Holyfield took on all comers and put on a clinic for a classic war and did what he was supppsed to do. Foreman carefully selected his opponents before taking on a few contenders and then got his title shot. Had Foreman simply beat up 4-5 tomato cans and got a shot based on pure name Holyfields win would be meaningless. But Foreman basically started over as though his first career never happened. Morrisons win was legit but he was a complete pansy running from a fat 45 year old nd changed his style and we all know briggs got a gift.
