    There are atleast 10 other fighters between Matthew macklin and someone like martinez. i think macklin wont make it past the 3rd round, he has no hope hes a euro class fighter and a fighter like rubio would starch him easily,
    of all the fighters out there the most feared man in boxing chooses to fight the mere macklin, how pathetic what about nigggas like james kirkland, peter quillin,dimitri pirog, Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam.Lee,proska,golovkin. all these guys are real world level talents.macklin is just a shitter in comparison whos fight with the overrated sturm flattered him beyond his real ability(which isn't a whole lot)

    :patsch Pullin names outta your ass. I take it you've watched Macklin plenty of times? And let me guess, all those you listed, seen them all fight a bunch right? That's why you can make such a statement? Surely you didn't just boxrec the MW division and pull names? No, never.....:roll:

    who has macklin beaten oh he did well against the mighty felix sturm, sturm won that fight pretty clearly IMO on effective punching he had macklin hurt a few times, i'v seen macklin fight more then a couple of times so please dont hold me to question on this. Hes a european fighter, who was handpicked by sturms people based upon these credentials i dont believe he was robbed against sturm

    Stfu. Macklin was robbed badly and clearly verses Sturm and should be #2 MW right now.

    sturm won the fight on cleaner more accrate effective punching, what the **** did macklin do shoeshine for 6 rounds and gass mid way, Rubio would KTFO of macklin

    Sturm was #2 middleweight behind Sergio before Macklin beat him. Macklin got hosed, if I remember correctly I scored it 9-3.

    Does it lose luster since Sturm has gone on to draw with a guy lesser than Macklin was considered? Yes. But not that big of a deal.

    Would the other guys make better fights? Maybe half of them. But Macklin has as good of a shot as any of them, spare for maybe one or two.

    all the guys i mentioned would easily beat macklins overrated arse, what does macklin do?? he has a high workrate and average power, he wont beat Andy lee (lee is far more skilled), you think he beats pirog or glovkin? quillin,Hassan and kirland would torture him. Peter manfredo would probably give him a competitive fight and potentially beat him

    Macklin is far from being a bum, you must not follow boxing much this fight is not going to be an easy fight for Martinez.:nono

    First off, it's irrelevant.

    But even if I did go with it, I would pick Macklin to defeat: Lee, Pirog, Ndam

    Peter Manfredo! Ha! Macklin would stop him in less than 8.
