Why the unbridled hate for Anthony Joshua? I mean seriously it is one thing to not rate him as a fighter but some of you on here seem to really hate the guy for absolutely no reason at all. By all accounts he is a great guy, very down to earth and humble. He is also hard working and dedicated to his craft a trait you would assume is admirable. The guy has had 22 fights and has seemingly fought the best in the division excluding Wilder and Fury. It is also apparent to all who are not biased that he does want the fight with Wilder, this is a guy that opted to fight Wladimir Klitschko a future hall of famer in his 19th fight. I mean his achievements are unprecedented and he seems to rise to the challenge every single time. There seems to be a small but loud group that believes he hasn’t done what he is meant to do and yet it has to be asked how much more can be expected of someone with only 22 fights. If we look back at his peers and who they were fighting in their 22nd fight I think it is pretty apparent that there is no room for comparison as the difference is as vast as the ground and the sky. Wilder and Fury’s envy and bitterness for the guy is somewhat understandable yet illogical especially in Wilder case as he had every opportunity to make the same moves as Joshua before the latter took strides to establish a legacy as he had a good five years head start on Joshua. You can call him a big stiff robot or accuse him of being on steroids all you like but the facts are the man has overcome every single hurdle put in front of him and has done it with grace and style and no matter how much Wilder and Fury fans scream to the high heavens that he is now been relegated to third place the vast majority of boxing fans are not buying it. As a lurker I was perplexed as to what this guy had done and whose mother he sodomized to get such vitriol so had to ask.
Because he talks a good match up then runs away from negotiations. It’s not all his fault, Eddie doesn’t want his cash cow getting less valuable, so they chose to avoid Wilder and Fury Not how people want their boxers to behave, they want fighters, like Fury and Wilder, that will fight the best in their divisions not an easy push over on PPV designed to rob the fans Joshua is also very fake with his public persona whereas a Fury and Wilder are pretty much what you see. Joshua needs the fakeness to keep the money coming from the casuals but not many real boxing fans are fans of Joshua
That doesn't translate to his skills and accomplishment, I think Tyson Fury is a chav and an absolute scumbag but will credit him where he deserves credit. You will never see me foaming at the mouth with hate for the man because at the end of the day he is a boxer and I judge him based on his ability and accomplishment as such.
Probably because he's more skilled than any American HW. It's only going to get worse now that he has KOd two elite HWs...... And Wilder has lost his 100% win ratio. That "Joshua only KOd Wlad/Povetkin because they were 40" isn't to get used much around here anymore. "Wilder lost to a guy who hasn't fought in two years, and was 400 pounds 12 months ago".
He gets polished. He's got huge promotional support. People in Britain don't like that kind of thing, never have. I agree though that it goes way to far, it's weird on here.
He's more Mayweather than Hatton..... He's a fighter the Americans would love..... That's why he has a lot of haters both sides of the pond.
With all due respect....... you are kidding right ? We know for a fact that Fury actively dodged Joshua he didn't want any of that smoke but believed he was ready and able to take on Wilder. That in itself is telling as to who Fury thinks is the more risky of the two despite what comes out of his mouth. And in regards to Wilder his resume is an absolute joke a fact that seems to escape his biggest supporters, people slate AJ for the Povetkin win but give Wilder props for the Ortiz win despite Povetkin being the superior fighter of the two and seemingly younger than Ortiz. Wilder in essence only fought Fury because he was under the assumption it would be a cake walk. The fight in itself was to boost Wilder profile and add some gravitas to his weak resume so he can hold some form of leverage when negotiating with AJ.
I actually like AJ, Fury AND Wilder. I mean let's face it, they've all said stupid things at some point, but I quite like watching their interviews and **** regardless. Interesting times for HW boxing.
It’s not new, you just haven’t been looking, there are loads of interviews with him about it He didn’t refuse outright to fight Fury, he refused to fight him until after Fury fought Wilder This content is protected
Ahhh, let them hate. Its natural fan mentality for them and its quite amusing, its mainly because he is British and on top. Its mostly about not making this Wilder fight but any reasonable person can see a number of contracts coming from Hearn being refused and nothing coming back from Team Wilder. There was that 1 offer but his managers refused to discuss it, refused to provide a contract and gave Joshua 24 hours. Thats not how you make a big unification fight. After tonights scare, cherry pick gone nearly badly wrong, saved by a robbery and lucky escape its going to be even harder to get Finkel and DiBella to find their balls to put their figher in with a healthy prime world champion.
Joshua called out Fury way before...... Might have been after the Whyte or Martin fight. You know Fury believes Joshua is the real deal right?
Wow, that’s a lot of horse manure in a single post Maybe you should just wait till your forum ban expires instead of posting nonsensical entries angry rants from an alt?
He's ducking Fres Oquendo. Until that fight gets made people are left in limbo wondering who the real WBA HW champ is.
