Check out Povetkin's resume. He was the IBF #1 and had Byrd, Chambers and Donald in it in his first 15 pro fights.

Tyson Fury had Chisora and McDermott on his resume in 15 pro fights.

Pulev had Dimitrenko, Rossy, Vidoz, Guinn on his resume in his first 15 pro fightd.

Jennings who turned to boxing a lot later than Wilder has Perez, Spzilka, Fedosov, Topou in 20 pro fights.

Wilder on the other hand faced his first top100 opponent in his 26th pro fight. Now tell me how you not criticise him heavily.

They were still top30 HWs. Donald lost a very close decision to Valuev less than a year ago.

 

He hasn't fought anyone yet but has a strap. That's why people don't like him. He basically is what's wrong with modern boxing: WAY, WAY too many alphabet organizations with straps thrown about to justify alphabet sanctioning fees.

 

Dimitrenko, the EBU champion back then, the same title that Teper-Helenius will be fighting for. Rossy just fought in a title eliminator in his previous fight. Vidoz and Guinn are not much but still far better than any club fighters Wilder fought for the first 5 years of his career. And addition to that, he beat Oloukun in his 3rd pro bout, a top journeyman. You're really telling me his resume is comperable to Wilder's?

And these are just the prospect stage of Pulev's career. I didn't even include Thompson and Ustinov.

Virtually all touted fighters take "set up" fights against soft opponents at the start of their careers, but Wilder fought at this level for far longer than most fighters, and - something the statistic doesn't show - he fought worse fighters than most prospects.

So people hate him basically because he's a fraud. His management is perpetrating a con game on the boxing public, and I, for one, don't like being fleeced. I can't wait for this fraud to get his glass jaw shattered.

 

He has a belt, Brook and him need to step up, if you want to bulid up do it before being paper champ...

 

I've been resisting it but if he fights someone like Wawrzyk next, I'm joining the "Wilder the fraud" bandwagon :yep
