Obviously a very good trainer that seems very well liked & respected by his boxers but not popular with fans for some reason. Also the dog references ? what's that all about?

Listen to his interview with Tris Dixon on the brilliant Boxing Life Stories. I've warmed to him after listening as it gives a great insight into why he's like he is and why he comes across as a knob sometimes (Defence mechanism).
I didn’t think he came across that well after listening today. Clearly was reigning himself in and even then didn’t come across that well, clearly see it as the joe g show. the Tesco joe and he shags dish literally came from some boxing podcasts.
He’s up his own arse thinks he’s the dogs Bx not humble at all so tjats why so many people don’t like him in the circuit.
I don't think he deserves the hate he gets. Seems to genuinely care about his fighters and boxing in general. Passionate guy who loves what he does. I really can't think of any valid reason for why people hate on him so hard.
I have seen his IFL interviews you dont get to where you want to be as a trainer by being nice and everybodies mate
Quite arrogant and comes across a wanker far too much for my liking. Poor record as a trainer at the top level of the sport though he likes to pretend otherwise
Was relatively neutral on him until he gave that reaction to the Ryder v Smith fight. IFL interviewer was simply doing his job and asking legitimate questions. Gallagher's reaction was out of order. Also deluded in thinking Smith's camp can dictate to Canelo that he has to come to Anfield!
never liked him since he tried pulling Crolla out in the 2nd Linares fight (think going into the 12th), he just wanted it to be about him and was willing to put a stoppage on a proud mans record in order for that to be the case. Crolla had come through the worst of it and battled through 11 rounds. Since then seen lots of stuff to support he’s an egotistical, self centred man with a false sense of importance the most recent being the IFL interview and the delusion after Smith - Ryder
