been watching the primetime ufc on cain and brock, and i think they both come over as thoroughly decent guys....is the hate for lesnart because the breed of fans we are now getting attending the ufc events are sooo narrow minded they cant discern between whast was clesrly a 'heel' persona brock brought over from his entertainment days and his real, relatively humble persona seen in more personal, intimate interviews.... seems to me that in brock lesnar the ufc franchise has one of the most athletically gifted heavyweights in the world, a man who appears to habe an old fashioned work ethic, trains in a single minded fashion, has a strong sense of morality and lives his life his way by his rules....he also appears willing, and able to fight ANYONE and wants to prove himself the best.... win, lose or draw, brock lesnar has made a fan of me....
This isnt WWE. Brock doesn't need to play "heel" anymore. He got flack from UFC fans because of how he reacted after he beat up Frank Mir the second time. He came across as an arrogant *******. Personally i had no problem with it. But then again i cant stand Mir. The unwarranted UFC hype machine behind Brock though is nothing short of a farce though.
Agreed. He was only unlikable for a short time. Since his illness and his recent win, he has been MUCH more humble, and good natured, and real. I was not a fan before, but I am now for sure!
I love Brock and i love the heel persona he's brought over from the WWE, he's one of the most entertaining guys in MMA, and after the Carwin fight he's proved he's a legit MONSTA
I didn't like Brock when he first came over, but I didn't know who or how he actually was in reallife. After watching a bunch of interviews and goofy internet videos I actually don't think he is a bad guy. I think I'm a Brock fan now, although I don't think he is a great fighter I do kinda rout for him now.
I am not much for trash talking, scripted or not, but I always though it was funny when Lesnar said that Frank Mir was born with a golden horseshoe up his ass?
I get annoyed by all the hate too. Like when someone put up a video of him shooting fruit and eating it, just being a laid back guy and everyone had to criticize him for being a redneck. What the **** is wrong with being a redneck?
yeah i think he knows he doesnt have to play the bad guy now and has relaxed into his role as ufc champ...he isnt the most skilled fighter, but his attributes and heart seem to ensure that he pulls it out the bag time after time...i genuinely see him overwhelming both cain and dos santos thus forcing dana to import overeem etc...for the heavyweights.....(incidentally, cant see overeem beating brock either.....)
Brock Lesnar love him or hate him has pushed the UFC PPV's beyond 1 mill buys ..His persona from the WWE has brought more fans to the sport from a marketing point a view its a win win !
I just don't like him and I don't understand what all the hype is about. IMO he is just a unidimensional fighter, like soooo many other and with a 5-1 record I just don't understand why we should give a **** about him. The only reason why he is UFC champ it's because White "gave" him the title. How many fight Machida had to do before getting a title shot ? And this big ******** is getting a title shot after 1 fight ? **** OFF
Paul Hayman taught him well. OVW has plenty more where Brock came from. Dont thank the UFC for this. Thank the WWE.
i look at him as a spectacle. a caged animal unleashed on fight night. like a gladiator in the colosseum.
