Why the hate for primetime?

Some people missed fights because of technical difficulties and then struggled to get reimbursed. People have long memories for companies that **** them over, even unintentionally. I like Primetime though, they provide another option and occasionally show some free stuff. Whilst they aren't perfect, I think they try and do a good job.

 

I like PT but I would not be happy if I was one of the people ****ed over. When you spend money, you expect a service in return. £14.95 for a blue screen or any trouble at all is not on.

I hope PT sort out their production and marketing quick so the fans embrace the good fights on offer.

 

Primetime have given us something that no other channel could ever offer, they gave us a live event that had no technical difficulties at all. Any dissapointed customers were simply taking their viewing cards out at the wrong time, so anybody not happy with Primetime really only have themselves to blame.

During the event I was under the impression I could hear another fight over the top of the one they were showing, but now I realise my girlfriend must have tampered with the Virgin box or something, seeing as there were no technical difficulties.

 

We have a tendency here in the uk that when someone does good things we ****ing hate on them. Ppl need to look further than their noses and see that its actually healthy competition.
Either its moaning bc there is not enough fights or moaning bc there are too many fights. Welcome to hell.

 

i paid for appv form them and they kept cuttignto adverts in between fights and no indication as to when the next fight was coming o0n (once it was at least 20 mins) ,there has been times there hasent even been a commentator for part of the fight

 

I know what you mean. I was watching and wondering how on earth I could be charged 15 quid and be provided with such shoddy picture quality. It transpires that I must have actually booted up my PC and loaded a dodgy internet stream of the fight without realising, because I've been assured there was nothing at all wrong with the picture on Primetime.

I didn't join in the wankfest over Setanta and won't be joining in over any wankfest about Primetime.

Sky are the best and have kept British boxing alive for a long time and we all know it.

That said, Sky are not above criticism and Primetime's faults, of which there appear to be a few, are not enough to slag them off.

 

If Primetime sort out the technical problems they'd be a genuine competitor to Sky. The lack of ads makes up for any production superiority Sky has for me. They should be refunding the PPV buyers who didn't get a good picture though.

 

Probabily a lot of Sky employees logging in and having a go.

 

In terms of Khan vs Judah & McCloskey if there was no primetime we would have seen both for free on Sky.....in HD....with no Duke.

You think Khan wouldn't have been shown if Primetime didn't exist? I don't. Just means it costs an extra £15.

I'd go as far as to say it was healthier with a Sky monopoly than with competition.
