Why the hate for ward ???

The poor guy only gets hate because of rejects like you who cant make a civilised post and cannot resist throwing something in that is guaranteed to wind people up.

 

many claim he is a "hopkinsesque" fighter....and if i'm not mistaken, you arent a huge fan of bernard, no?

i like ward nonetheless. i think kessler would have been w/in his right to play rough right back but i'm happy about his success. sky is the limit for the kid.

He gets a lot of hate because he beat a ESB favorite here in Kessler after that demolition job he put on Kessler his fate was sealed and he had an instant army of haters to hate on him. Up until that point he was an unknown with most being indifferent about him.

Exactly! WTF is this **** about? If Ward was some Britich Soccer-Dude boxer, these motha****as would be claiming he was the next best thing...

 

Brits dont have a reason to hate ward tho, he beat someone calzaghe already beat and then a C level fighter. The reason the brits probally react the way they do is i presume is because so many threads just have to mention how Ward would destroy calzaghe ect. That is bait no matter what way you look at it.

 

Ward relies more on his awkwardness than he does any of his athletic abilities.
He forces the fight on the inside with his head on his opponents chest and throwing awkward in close shots, and calling Hopkins dirty, you gotta hand it to Ward aswell, he does know how to use that head of his, in more than one way.

Calzaghe has far better work rate, faster hands and a lot more top level experience, im sorry but Calzaghe takes this one for me.
