"a bunch of you from the UK"??? I dont know what the hell you´re talking about!? Im from Denmark... And i dont give a damn about where a fighter are from... I give credit to the fighters i like,no matter if they are americans,British, mexicans or whatever...I love the sport, thats all.
For me it's the same with Dirrell, technically they're sound, good boxer's and will be good world champions, but there's something i can't put my finger on about both of them, just not too keen on them
OH SNAP. I did not see that. Everything Ward does Calzaghe does better. Aside from headbutting and boring people to death. (Still like the guy dont get me wrong) Doubt Ward could come anywere near beating B-Hop.
My top fighter division by division hw-wlad cw-cunningham lhw-pascal smw-bute mw-martinez/williams lmw-cotto ww-pbf lww-alexander lw-marquez cba goin lower, but my point is plenty of americans get credit. and my fave fighters are haye, khan, froch and pascal. i can differentiate between favourite and best
That about sums up my thoughts on the matter. A lot of people have criticized ward for "holding," which is strange considering how much work he does on the inside. He's a brilliant fighter. True, he doesn't knock people out like Tyson, but I like watching how he works his game.
The reason some people don't like Ward is b/c he is dirty and headbutts. nice list Dawson is cleary the best at 175, and PWill only wants welterweights now after Sergio beat him up at 160.
I see the dirty style in him much like Hopkins obviously he has studied Nard, also I see quick hands counter punching and reflexes similar to Jones, he is some what of a Jones Hopkins hybrid if you will.....
I can tolerate holding in moderation but not when it becomes excessive. Ward is a winner and ought to be respected but I find his style to be impatiently ugly.
