Why the hate on Canelo???

yeah people seem to forget that he was trying to make fights with some legit contenders. I think the reason people aren't giving him credit is because after his original fighters backed out he didn't offer a fight to lara, trout, or hell even molina.

 

Because of his red hair!

 

I swear to god i dont hate Canelo. If you follow my posts from the beggining i was impressed by him. The whole BS with his belt and his defenses is what bothers me.I dont doubt he's very talented.
After the PW and JK fights fell he picked Ortiz-a welter coming from defeat-to defend his title,and after that a Jr welter coming from a war.
With a packed 154 division i believe is an insult to all boxing fans.
I know isnt his fault, but it reflects on him.

 

It'd be nice to see him fight someone in the top 10 of the
division he holds a trinket in. That's not too much to ask.
Kirkland and P-dub were not the only jmw's out there to fight,
there were quite a few guys he could've selected. Not saying he
doesn't have the goods, but show them in people that can match
you

 

Because he has yet to fight someone who is an actual threat. Until he has been actually tested people will say that.

 

Maybe because of what ur doing here, the classic. "why oh why" cry! I honestly haven't seen much hate towards him here, only the normally expected, I mean, this is a global forum, and OF COURSE not everybody is going to like every boxer... it's not expected AND is actually good for the sport to have rivalries, hence the dislike for some and the nut licking for others. That being said, another reason could be like someone posted above, maybe because there were so many others in that division that could've done better but were not offered the opportunity, even thoufhgh I'm sure they'd be willing... Lara, Molina, Bundrage, Trout... heck, even Quintana called out Canelo, but he went with the TWO lower div. guy!!

 

people hate because he got a gift belt and hasnt earned it on the ring, also he has a lot of hype behind him but still is fighting nobodies and even those nobodies have made him look bad....

to say he is the most gifted and fundamental fighter today is crazy... anybody can look good fighting B and C level fighters he has to show it vs A level fighters

No hate but the biggest issue I have is the whole "grooming" to be a superstar. Has a belt, yet still is treated like he needs to be handled with care until he is ready to be matched up against the best. In any sport, regardless of age, if you are good enough to be a champion, be ready to go up against the lions. The champion title holds an assumed level of skill, competency, as in being one of the best. So why shouldn't he be fighting the best out there?

BTW I think he has a lot of promise and is talented. But its time to be matched up and fight the fights that will warrant the hype.

when he starts fighting legitimate threats and beating them, people will just start finding other reasons to hate him on here. .

dont forget . . . this is ESB . . . where most homos on here will hate a fighter because their eye lashes are too long

 

Shieet I love Canelo. I'm gonna make some t-shirts.

On the front it's gonna have his picture and say "Cinnamon Challenge"

and on the back it's gonna say "Canelo will **** you up!!!"
