It blows my mind how people would disagree with this.

His power is overrated. His record is overrated.

 

Hello Professor. I don't think I agree with this. I don't believe modern boxing fans are any more or less bandwagon jumpers that they were in the past. It is the nature of many fans in all sports to be that way.

Also, regarding Wilder, I don't believe he's been overrated since the first Fury fight and most people have always know he is limited.

 

It was always clear Wilder had a ton of power. It was always clear his skills were limited compared to other beltholders.

So what remained in the balance, due to his soft schedule up until 2019, was his heart and if he was really a fighter. I think he proved that against Fury. I think he would have kept swinging until he died in that third fight if they had let him, there's zero quit in him once the opening bell rings.

That's not common. Think back on all the really great fighters that have quit.

For me, it goes a long way to vindicating him. We pay to see guys bring their best, and Wilder does that, so there's a respect that he's earned.

 

If he’s so game then why is his record a wasteland? He’s had 15 years as a pro to build a list of top opponents.

 

This is the same man who thought that Fury had a gypsy spell put on him and that's why he never got stopped. Zzz.

Who is his 3rd best win? Look at AJ's record - Wilder has been a pro for longer and aint fought none of them.
