Why the hell are people so big on that idiot Wilder right now?

Although I have gone off Fury, I respect the hell out of Wilder following the 3rd fight

You make valid points above, but ask yourself this? Would Anthony Joshua have climbed off the canvas in that 10th round after being heavily knocked down to carry on in the 11th when he was brutally knocked out?

Wilder lacks many things, but heart and balls he definitely has in abundance. I agree his resume is lacking, but I can get behind a guy who is the kill or be killed type

Aj lost his balls following Ruiz, while Wilder wasn't deterred in the slightest after his beat down from fury in the rematch. He went to straight to war again and although it was a clumsy fight, it was definitely a war

Wilder won't beat Usyk or Fury, but he will absolutely crush Aj and I'm sure of that. Aj is afraid to commit because he is afraid of being hit. He hasn't been in with a huge puncher like Wilder since Wlad. Imo it was the war with wlad (aj had bottle then) that took something from him.

Quitting against Ruiz was the icing on the cake.

If Aj tries to be all technical? Wilder will catch him eventually

If Aj Reverts to his old self and gets Wilder down, he better pray he keeps him down, as Wilder has shown he is still very dangerous when wounded

I'm under no illusions who is the better boxer, or even has the better resume. I am also under no illusions to which guy is the better fighter and has more to give

I heavily favour Wilder in this fight

I don't see anyone any higher on him than they previously were. If anything.........................the fire has dwindled big time, he just doesn't realize it

Tank, Ryan, and Spence. None of which have the advantage of being a Heavyweight or have been a champion as long as Wilder has. Even Andy Ruiz has comparable number to Wilder without the promotion or longevity Wilder has.

How many PPV fights has Garcia actually had? Not to mention all of his latino and social media followers - I'd actually expect him to be bigger by now rather than throwing flashy crap on his TikTok vids.

So you have 2 bigger PPV draws in the US than Wilder.....I guess youve made your point? lol.

    Let's see ...

    * Deontay Wilder either knocked you out and won ... or he got stopped and lost. His fights always ended in exciting fashion.

    * Deontay Wilder has been the most consistent heavyweight in the game. He's been ranked in the Ring Magazine top 3 (or higher) at heavyweight every month for nearly nine years straight (from January 2015 to today) ... almost unheard of in the history of that magazine for a heavyweight.

    * Deontay Wilder held the WBC Heavyweight title for five straight years and defended his title 11 times. Fans today would kill for any heavywight champ to defend with that type of consistency. (Usyk fights once a year as a heavyweight. Fury sometimes less.)

    * Deontay Wilder is not a weight bully. Wilder has actually been outweighed (often by a lot) in every fight he's had for the last 10 years. Still knocked everyone out but one person. (Some heavyweights go years without giving up weight to anyone.)

    * Deontay Wilder successfully defended his title multiple times despite suffering injuries in fights that required surgeries to repair (multiple broken hands and in one fight a broken hand AND a torn bicep). People praise Fury for winning a decision with a cut eye. Has Usyk ever won a fight with a broken hand or a torn bicep ... or, as in Wilder's case, BOTH?

    * Deontay Wilder has a huge heart in the ring and will fight to his last breath. Fired his own trainer for throwing in the towel. Isn't a quitter.

    * Deontay Wilder is always in condition. Always ready to go. In fact, some fans who were critics of his early on felt he didn't give his opponents enough time to train (because they weren't always in the gym and fit, like he is).

    * Deontay Wilder gave rematches to opponents (even those with significant physical advantages over him) who felt they got the short end of the stick the first time. (Some fighters never give rematches after a win.) Wilder could've easily walked away from Fury after fight one and never faced him again. Same with Ortiz, after Luis felt he got cheated in their first fight.

    * Deontay Wilder doesn't call off fights claiming training injuries. If he's injured in training, he fights anyway. He entered one fight (Arreola) with all the skinned burned off his right elbow. (And then he broke his hand and tore his bicep in the same fight. And still stopped Arreola.) Joseph Parker once cancelled a fight because he had a spider bite.

    * Deontay Wilder isn't a PED abuser ... yet he signed to defend against a number of them ... all of whom outweighed him (Stiverne, Ortiz, Povetkin, Fury). The only one he never fought was Povetkin, who failed every PED test he took in 2016, the year they tried to fight.

    * Deontay Wilder doesn't engage in "exhibitions" with Youtubers or MMA guys. Deontay Wilder doesn't participate in cheesy pro wrestling cards.

    * Deontay Wilder doesn't grab the microphone after fights and give speeches to the audience or sing songs or throw the belts of the guy who won out of the ring.

Basically any criticism you have of another heavyweight, Wilder doesn't have that trait. He's not lazy. He's not out of shape. He's not boring in the ring. He's not a quitter. He doesn't let guys who have no business going the distance with him go the distance. He doesn't jump in the ring at other people's shows and call them out. He doesn't promise to donate money to charity and then ignore it. He doesn't announce he's going to fight 50 guys and fight none of them. He doesn't fight in mixed (boxer-wrestler/boxer-MMA/boxer-YouTuber) fiascos. As champ, he always defended multiple times a year. If an opponent fell out, he just fought someone else. If he was injured, the show still went on. He didn't blame bad meat (Fury) or prescriptions (Ortiz and Povetkin) for positive PED tests and then get busted for PEDs again.

It's been a pretty weird era for drugs and inactivity and posturing on social media about fights that never occur ...

But the one guy who fought the most, was the longest reigning champ, defended the most times, was the most exciting in the ring, scored the most knockouts, wasn't the fighter embroiled in PED scandals, gave up all the weight to everyone else in the ring, and still beat/knocked out everyone he faced but one man ... is DEONTAY WILDER.

I'm asking for Garcia's numbers without Tank? If it wasn't for Tank Garcia would still be getting laughed at.

Tanks PPV numbers outside of that fight do not suggest that.

Tank was doing around 300+K PPV numbers which isn't that bad for showtime at a lightweight, if I recall. Do you even have showtime?
