Hoping to score a big KO, then he can throw his name into the Mayweather sweepstakes.

Luis Collazo is a good fighter. He beat Ricky Hatton and Andre Berto, but got robbed in both fights.

Mayweather wants no part of Thurman, so what else can Keith do but fight someone else?

He fights whoever Al tells him to fight. If he's fighting three, four times a year I don't begrudge him a homecoming tuneup fight.

I think the undercard fight between Harrison and Nelson is the best of the ESPN2 bouts that have been announced. The other three are not that appealing on paper.

Collazo is shot to bits and recently lost 119-104 to Khan. You are referencing fights from 6 and 9 years ago.

Why did Golovkin fight Monroe? That was an even bigger mismatch. A lot of people tuned in to that fight and the fans enjoyed the show. I guess the fans are happy as long as someone is getting beat up.

The guy is wasting everyone's time. Another Potemkin village fighter.

Would have liked to see him fight Maidana but who knows if the money is there.

Getting Thurman another win in what should be a showcase fight against a once relevant fighter shown to the masses on ESPN and perhaps making Sportscenter top plays and continuing to have boxing in the spotlight since the big push before and after the Mayweather/Pacquiao blockbuster is the calculated risk/reward here. No surprise.

i feel you!! thats the fight i wanted...but Maidana needs a comeback fight before fighting a tough fight against thurman. Maidanas peoples knows that

I think Thurman's best win came against Diego Chaves. Since then, Chaves drew with Tim Bradley and I thought Chaves was beating the snot out of Rios but the ref was lousy.

Chaves is better than anyone Brook has beaten so far.

I completely agree the Chavez win is better than Guerrero.
Though Chavez certainly didn't deserve that draw against Bradley.

Ya I would love to see that fight. But Maidana is apparently walking around at 190 right now so there's no way he could have made weight for July even if he wanted to fight Keith in his first fight back.

Well the same elite boxers were busy for Brook's last fight with Gavin and that was a fight on 5 weeks notice in the UK so not a lot of guys would have taken that even if they weren't busy. The fight with Dan was mandatory so you can't really fault him there. That was the IBF's fault. And Dan did get robbed of a win against Guerrero's 2nd best win at WW :think
