Why the hell is Kessler moving up instead of going after Ward?

The SWM is starting to look like a playfield for duckers. Kessler has said he wants to get back at Ward, and Ward has said he is open for a rematch, since he took a lot critizism for the way he conquered the belt.

And now Kessler has said he is moving up because Magee wont fight him? :blood

Kessler is has been. He should have entered negotiations with Team Ward.

Maybe just maybe he wants to become a 2 weight world champion before he retires?

:rofl The weight class that's loaded with names that have all been fighting and continue to fight each other doesn't have one rematch because a fighter wants to move up and now they're starting to look like...aw, **** this goofy ****. Good night.

Why do you want Kessler vs Ward? Kessler is done.

The fight that make sense, the fight that the fans want, the fight between the two undefeated champ, the fight biggest at 168, well, that fight, Ward doesn't want any of it.

Exactly and the first fight was clear enough for me

Seems pointless if he got spanked at 168 anyway.

He might be. But he seems to be the third best at the weight, and I think he could do better in a rematch with Ward, though I still expect to see him lose. It would have been a cool grudge fight IMO.

Why should he rematch Ward? He had massive eyesight issues in the past so another headbutt-fest in Joakland with Ward's brother in law as the fair and unbiased referee won't do no good.

Probably doesn't think he can beat Ward.

    I would rather watch

    Kessler Vs Cleverly than

Kessler vs Ward II. I dont think Kessler would do any better in a rematch.

No need for a rematch, we've all seen the result of the first match up. I have difficulty to imagine the result could be worst than the first time Ward and Kessler meet but...it would be. Kessler had a great career but he is finished unfortunately.

One thing doesnt necessarily exclude the other.

Even though I Think a move to 175 is a bad idea, it doesnt prevent Ward-Kessler II. The biggest hindrance for that fight is Wards lack of passport.

If he'd been stopped unfairly, etc against Ward, then yes. But he got his ass kicked - that won't change two years down the line.
