The only one who truly beat Marquez was Mayweather.

Ortiz is solid. He landed a lot of punches on Mayweather.

He was in the fight and the fight was good, but good in a way where it's more than just one guy dominating a fight...

It was too game fighters in a game fight...

To me, this indicates that Ortiz can in fact fight very well and if Pac was to beat him, this victory shouldn't be any less signifcant than Mayweather's because in this case he knows he can hit Mayweather, so why don't you think he would assume he can hit Pac as well?

Only time will tell, but first Pacquaio has to get past Marquez, which isn't a given in the first place.

I think it's more/less Roach just listing him as a possible foe based on circumstance but really has no interest in matching him with Pac. Truth be told, if I were to make a list of 5 possible opponents for Pac to face at 47, Ortiz would probably be on it. He certainly wouldn't be the first choice nor would I legitimately clamor for him as a foe in the near future. But he, none the less, and perhaps only because of a lacking of credible suitors, does in fact make the list.

I'm not Pac's biggest fan of late but no way he allows this fight to go down.

Even as a Pac fan there's no denying that Ortiz is a cherry pick, should that fight be made.

Just as he was a cherry pick for Floyd.

bradley, jones, rios, the winner of cotto-margo and canelo would happen first before ortiz.

...and also from what we've learned before, Roach has little to no input on who Pac fights.

do you truly believe that despite being a jmm fan?

whilst yes he was beaten by floyd, I wouldn't consider jmm a leftover. Maybe its because I think he would beat pac this time around. And he wasn't beaten/destroyed, he was outboxed by floyd.
