Ali was a shell of his former self when Holmes fought him. You clearly haven't seen the fight or you wouldn't post such BS.

 

those guys I listed that Holmes fought are not even on Brian Minto's level they are closer to a Zuri Lawrence type fighter.

 

Holmes was not a KO puncher either. Wlad's fights are more exciting than Larry's just because he usually ends them with a nice KO.

not top mention Holmes went the distance against some very average fighters that he could not put away. Go back and read some articles there are many that criticize Holmes and his era just like they are doing today.

holmes went 48-0 without a loss. wlad got his ass beat by some journeyman like 20 fights into his career.

holmes beat good fighters like cooney, ali, witherspoon, mercer -- all of whom were better than anyone wlad's ever beat.

Imagine the outrage on here if Klitschko elected to fight Brian Minto in his next optional defense. This board would explode with hatred if he did that. That is essentially what Holmes did fighting those bums I listed.

I agree to a point.
I cant criticize his skill but the man is just so boring to watch and in truth he should be finishing off his opponents sooner.
That is my main problem with him.
