i couldnt agree with you anymore, well said. People get it all wrong, they think if you have a weakness you must improve on that weakness or you suck. No thats not the case, instead of mearly improving your weakness you utilize your strengths to the best of your abilitys. He is as technically sound of heavyweight as we have seen in some time. A LOT OF PEOPLE ON THIS SITE HAVE NEVER EVEN DARED STEP FOOT IN A BOXING RING, SO THEY DONT UNDERSTAND. The same people who villanize Wlad love bhops boring super defensive conservitive style, his illegal tactics and all. I think bhop is a very intelligent crafty fighter and i respect his game , but you cant tell me hes great and that wlad sucks. Bhop grabs holds bends every rule in the book to victory and with the exception of maybe the pavlik fight and the tarver fight is not very exciting at all since 1999. Wlad does what he does best to win and that is utilize the most fundamental of fundamentals in boxing the jab. Anyone who knows boxing will tell you, you have to have a great stick to be succesful, and he has an awesome jab.

 

Even Wlad's detractors must at least put John Ruiz ahead in the boringness department.

well to be fair Ruiz never put me to sleep I just changed the channel but Briggs actually made me fall asleep that's the only time it has ever happened besides some UFC PPV I was watching at a friends house.

Regardless both are awful there is no debate about it.

 

hey chef i know enough about boxing to know who the frauds of the sport are and the true warriors of the sport (pac, cotto, haye).

wlad is a disgrace to boxing. he has A+ talent but an F- heart and desire. thats why he only gets 100,000 viewers on ESPN Classic.
