Lewis is a coward and he knows it............................look at Lewis' nose next time you see him.................How many years does Vitali have to chase Lewis? Vitali beat all your heroes, so you have to make up crap. Lewis was knocked out cold by Rahman. McCall TKO'd Lewis..................at least Rahman. What if Rahman had not given Lewis a rematch? What if Don King had not pulled McCall out of rehab for a rematch? Mercer beat the living Hell out of Lewis. Lewis held on to Tua for the entire fight.............
Haters are clinging to the straws. True boxing fans appreciate the fact that Klitschko brothers are ATG and HOF. Millions of people watch their fights.
Top 10 ATG Heavyweight Champions don't quit...You can try to frame it any way you want. Watching the interview with Larry Merchant, after that fight you could tell that Vitali realized, he ****ed up. Vitali, lost to an aged, out of shape Lewis, who hadn't fought it a year. Vitali is a good fighter, tougher then his brother. Wlad has a great arsenal to throw at opponents. But getting knocked out by 31W-20L Ross Puritty??? Wlad makes Tommy Morrison, look granite jawed. Don't whine that he's unappreciated. I got both in my top 20...Where they belong.
I have Vitali in my top10 but Wlad top30..its ironic he and his fans go on and on about Lewis then retires after promising to fight winner of Haye/Chisora..hater?? plz
Lewis was tired and he was so careless..Vitali was smashed up,tired from hurting Vitali..his country needs him? Hes ran for mayor twice and lost, and would be part of the opposition numbers but would have no/little say in matters.. At the end of the day Lewis at his worst bet Vitali at his best. Lewis wins 10/10. Vitali retired when Haye won the fight and was promised a fight.
Whinges about the Lennox Lewis rematch for years and he himself promised to fight Haye/Chisora winner but retires. Irony. Owned by a black person and retired by a black person.
Looking at the video of the Lewis-Klitschko fight, Vitali's face got ****ed up...bad. Lewis was relatively unscathed. As Vitali was in his prime and 38 y/o Lewis was out of shape, and hadn't fought in a year I would have thought he would have done better. I mean Rahman/McCall did better then Vitali, against a prime Lewis. Shame we never saw a rematch. But Lewis didn't rematch fighters he beat the first time during his entire career.
37/38 isn't prime for a heavyweight much less any boxer or athlete. Vitali lost technically or any other way you cut it. Apparently his supporters wish to claim a moral victory. The outcome is was it is, which is a L-TKO6. He put up a good fight but lost. Surprising since Rahman/McCall, were able to pull out victories against a prime /near prime Lewis.
The quote "I beat him at my worst" is straight from Lennox Lewis mouth. Who are you to dispute that? Again you're in the small majority with your opinion. The real winner is Lennox Lewis. Had he never fought the Klitschko's, people would think they had a 50/50 chance but in all honesty at his best he would have wiped the floor with both Klitschkos. Don't whinge for years about Lewis not giving him a rematch despite getting his ass handed to him then go and do the exact same thing but avoid the fight completely. That's an unforgivable offense.
They aren't underappreciated. It's just a couple of white cry baby bigots from over seas crying that they are underappreciated when they aren't. People of all colors respect Wlad, but dis him because of his fighting style. His last fight was a disgrace to boxing. He deserved criticism. No boxing fans ever diss Vitali really.
Actually it's more like: Lewis: beat his mandatory and promised rematch soon after, eight months inactive, retired instead of fighting Vitali a second time. Vitali: pulled out of fight with mandatory several times, eleven months inactive, promised to fight Rahman in 2006, retires. 2012/2013, sixteen months inactive, avoided mandatory for nine months, promises to fight in 2014, retires. Lewis should have fought Vitali again, Vitali should have fought Rahman and Stiverne, the difference between them is that Lewis gave his mandatory a chance before retiring - even if he refused to give that same fighter a second chance - while Vitali strung both Rahman and Stiverne along for months before retiring without ever giving them the chance to fight him.
You can talk b.s if you want, lie, or do whatever it takes to make yourself feel good about what you said, but boxers pull it from the depths of a place that you will never visit. To say that Lennox had this look that he didn't want to go on is what is totally expected from an armchair like you. If this helps you sleep at night then I don't care. Just don't lie to us. Lennox kicked Vitali's ass, and sliced him up. And this happened after Vitali started out strong. Lennox never gets enough credit from clowns like you for taking the punches he took early in the fight and giving his own. Vitali could've cut Lennox like Lennox cut him but he didn't. And nobody cares about who won the event, or whether your lunacy wants to call it a paper victory, Lennox won. You can cry till the cows come home, but Vitali lost by stoppage.
