Bruno, Mercer and Holyfield all gave Lewis a tougher time than Vitali did, plus look at what Rahman did when presented with an out-of-shape, unprepared, unmotivated Lewis, he did what Vitali WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH to do and took his opportunity and KO'd Lewis.

Lets put it this way, bruno is ross purritty with much better management.:hat bruno only losing to very good fighters i am not sure if that means anything at all when he never beat one of very good either. i know what you mean but in general, Bruno was outboxing Lewis before he was stopped, a very similar story to Vitali. So that speaks volume about Bruno, he performed much better than guys like tua, Morrison and even Tyson.

you cant say Bruno sucks and vitali was better when they had one mutual opponent in a great fighter like Lewis and they did comparably well.

Wladimir won every minute of every round against Purrity until he gassed late in the fight, because he was trying too hard for the KO in front of his fans in Kiev. He was age 21 and had never been past 6 rounds before.

Purrity was very durable, he made it the distance against some big punchers like Rahman and had a draw with Morrison.

Bruno was damn good fighter but I think he lacked something what would make him to be strong champion like Lennox or even Wlad. BUT then again Bruno was unlucky to be around with guys like prime Tyson and Lewis were rising so we dont surely what could have happened.

Btw We are boxing fans from same era, we are about same age if you were born '85', we both witnessed the very late of Iron Mike Tyson.:thumbsup I was at first grade on primary school just a little kid and I can still remember the biggest upset of all times at Tokyo. Used to watch Tyson fights at VHS on my friends house on delay. Those were the days, just a lil kids watching one of the most vicious man in the fighting game ever.. then hitting Punch out on nes-8 straight after school for hours.

 

Generally boring style. Not enough quality opposition. Having a size advantage over most of the guys with any real quality.
