Vitali had loads of fans when he lived and fought out of LA. He was treated as the hometown fighter and could of continued that momentum instead he threw in the towel for 4 years. If he didn't he would of blew his brother out of the water in terms of achievements and popularity.

You are right for certain degree dino. Wlad is safety first fighter with extremely cautious style(Povetkin fight basically icing the cake), that doesnt attract casual fight fan at all. You are right about that. But he does NOT seek for easy fights and guys who nobody has ever heard of, total opposite. BS man, Wlad clearly has stated and fought the best available opponents since getting IBF title. He can not force these frauds we have today as contenders in the ring against him and that is why there are these Mormecks, Pianetas and Leapais...

 

He fought the top guys last decade yes, that is true , but they were nowhere near as good as the guys that are around today.

A nothing? He was regarded as the lineal champ when he fought Tyson. He was unbeaten at 31-0 and many experts picked him to beat Tyson. Some nothing.
If he had been a Wlad opponent you would be here singing his praises, and you know it.

If Spinks is regarded as a 'nothing' today, it's because Tyson blew him away. History has not been kind to Spinks because of that, but to say he was a nothing is displaying acute ignorance.

 

Total crap. Beating Holmes would not have made Tyson lineal anything. Tyson beat Spinks to become lineal champ.
