Why the Klitschko's, ESPECIALLY Wlad, avoided Valuev.

SNV is a style nightmare for Wlad.

If Wlad fights SNV, it would require for Wlad to utilize skills which we have never seen him use.
He can't stand tall using the stiff arm to keep SNV away.
He can't use clinching as his sole form of defense.
He can't stand directly in front of SNV and win on jab alone.

Brawling with SNV is an option, except Wlad's chin will crack before SNV's does. So a straight up attack the is out the window.

He will need to duck, use angles and counter. Stuff he doesn't normally do. Can he learn to do that stuff. Sure he can. Wlad is a gifted athlete. But it would be a huge adjustment for him to make.

when you look at it honestly, it is not a coincidence that Wlad never seriously considered fighting SNV.

Seriously, though, would any of you bet a nickel on Valuev against either Klitschko ?

This is obviously a windup? I'm hoping?

Wlad has very fast hands and he'd nail Valuev often since Big Nic is there to be hit...................and slow as molasses.

Valuev is way too slow for either Klitschko.

I've yet to see video of 'prime Valuev'...maybe that Valuev would have posed a problem, but the Valuev of his last few fights gets embarrassed and barely lands anything.

Wlad would also there to be hit. And he is less durable then SNV. The reason Wlad does not get hit much is because he has reach, and because he uses the clinch when in close. Against SNV he won't have that. He will be there to be hit.
We are completely clueless as to how Wlad will react to being the smaller man. Against SNV he'll have to slip, or duck, or use an in and out darting attack. It's possible he could do those things, but you have to agree we don't see him use those things now.

You don't follow boxing too much do you? They never had a fight with Valuev because Valuev and team would not fight a klitschko. The Klitschko's were always turned down when seeking that fight.

Just before the Haye fight with Valuev, Valuev was offered another chance for 2.5 million to fight Vitaly. Valuev declined the fight for 2.5 million. After the Haye fight Vitaly offered Valuev 1.5 million since he had lost the belt, this was also turned down by Valuev.

This is all old news. You should know it!

I like Valuev, I think he is one of the good guys in the sport and gave it his all, but he wouldn't beat either Klitschko. Both brothers are faster and more mobile than he is, and their defense is much better. Either brother would land a lot of leather on Valuev, and the end result would probably be a late stoppage.

    :good

Wlad offers some fights to Valuev.

Wlad offers to Valuev to fight at Schalke after he pulls out in Finnland to avoid Chagaev. Valuev said "no".

The all ducked Valuev the infallible.

There's only one SNV, and his holy profit Don King.

This is ******ed. The Klits wanted his belt, but Valuev never wanted anything to do with them.

Niko would get slaughtered by Wlad or Vitali. He's too slow, would be such an easy target. Just because he's bigger doesn't mean he's a tough fight for them.

It would be as competitive as the Lennox Lewis-Michael Grant fight. The Klits are faster, way more mobile, more skliful, much better punchers. They would beat him up badly.

Didn't Valuev said NO to the 2.5 mln offer in the first place?

This mean Vitaly put an offer and Valuev said NO .... and people twists this around
to the point that Vitaly's offer seems to be a duck while Valuev's NO is a brave challenge?

Wlad tried to get a unification fight done with Valuev in 2008. Sauerland and K2 couldn't get a deal done because Sauerland said they are contractually bound to ARD and ARD wouldn't allow Valuev to fight on RTL. It fell apart over network issues.
