Why there weren't WBC's mandatory open scoring system in Wilder - Fury fight?

    It's still there (open scoring after rounds 4 and 8) - it works even in interim title fights like todays fight between Takuma Inoue and Tasana Salapat). So why it wasn' there in Wilder - Fury fight? Has anybody heard about the reasons?

    I didnt even notice. Id forgotten all about this, had they not stopped doing it a while ago? But can you really put up live round scoring when you are planning a robbery?

    It's an optional scoring system, obviously Haymon and Finkel didn't want to utilise it for pretty obvious reasons.

    Plus can you imagine what would of happened to Rochin as the scores were unfolding, Fury's drunken fans would of been kicking off seeing his scorecard.

    Can you imagine if Big John had been ring side and seeing Tyson getting shafted? Rochin would be lucky to leave the arena with both his eyes, lol.
