i am fairly new to boxing as a a HARDCORE fan, and i can already see what is holding back the sport, at least in part. setting up these $$$ exhibition matches for short-term gain, instead of putting tiltleist v primary contender on a regular basis. it seems to me Arum is a primary culprit in this...pavlic v tito??? **** that!!! these guys only fight 4-5 times a year at best, why not allow a true conteNder who deserves a shot at the title ASAP!!! fans in sport need some semblance of organization; even WITH the goofiness of the multiple sanctioning bodies, the promoters are hurting the sports long-term health for short-term celebrity bouts. i agree with a jones-tito fight, as it does not disrupt the championship situation, but a purported pavlik-tito fight would be yet another example as to why boxing has declined in popularity over the pat several years. yep,no question everyone is thinking this right now. the guy who deserves the fight is Winky Wright. he dominated Trinidad and now a few years later it looks like the loser will get the chance...Wright shouldnt have fought Hopkins:cause the public would be screaming for this fight if he hadnt.
