True pount, who the **** are any of you to say he was a bad person. Tyson did many bad things in his life, but he can and has come across as a nice, caring guy.

He had a very ****ed up life, but nobody is either a good or bad person. I personally have a lot of sypathy for Tyson, always did.

Know this just because a man is convicted of **** doesn't mean he did it. And most white people usually do think that when a person is convicted of something there 100% guilty which is not true. Mike Tyson had a strong case to say he was innocent, he just had the wrong kind of lawayer.

The white man thing was uncalled for....but around the same time OJ was found innocent of murder, and he is a murderer. What he was saying I believe was that the courts aren't perfect - and they aren't.

    Listen son.

He was convicted in a court of law. Now short of ****ing being there, i cant say if he did it or not. But a jury judged that, on the balance of evidence, he was guilty.

He was also jailed for attacking motorists. Was he just the poor little ****ing innocent victim then too? I guess he wasnt at fault for biting a portion of a mans ear off either...it was some ****ing figment of my imagination, or some deft camera work.

You still havent answered me. Are you racist?

Not to mention that it's a well established and known fact that celebrity **** cases are all bull****.

I'm a realist and your only looking at one side of the case. It was never brought up that the girl had falsely accused another guy of ****. She went into his room at 2:30 in the morning. I don't know if he did it or not either but I know he wasn't given a chance in hell in that case and he had a strong one.

Fact is Tyson REALLY ****ed up. He set himself up for a situation where only bad could've came out of it and sure enough, it did.

Mike's intelligence outside of the ring is always sort of a sketchy subject...but it's poor business to be running late night booty hits as the hottest name in the late 80s/early 90s.

    How do you know that?

What other evidence do i have to go on other than an assumption that (for whatever reason) the jury was wrong? The time of day or night is about as relevant as the square root of **** all.

    Are you racist?

    Naive in what way?

All you're doing is dodging questions, and defending a convicted ******.

You don't gain much credibility by doing that, whatever your skin colour or nationality is.

You can say he's a convicted ****** all you want but you can't say if you know he's guilty. I'm defending a person who may have not raped another person. If you don't look at it from both sides which you aren't, than you are truly a naive person.

Defending him on what basis though? Because youre a fanboy? Or because you know the evidence? Were you in court? What gives your opinion more credence than that of the jury?

You have NO idea how many sides ive looked at this from.

Back to the thread topic then...why Tyson is a "nice guy"...he was also convicted of assault, and bit a piece of ear off an opponent...

All these things, all of them, they are building a picture with me...and it is not one of a "nice guy".

If you knew he was 100% guilty, would it change your opinion of him as a person? I'm not so sure it would. And by the way, you have absolutely no idea what most white people think. Hell, I'm not even sure you know what you think. Very silly comment indeed, and very revealing as well.;)

I used to be a ****ING HUGE Tyson fan, both as a fighter, and as a man. But eventually his antics got to be too much - and it put me off him.

Mike Tyson = Big fighter, little man!:deal

Defending him on the bases that a good majority of evidence wasn't brought up in court. On the fact that his lawayer was a tax attorney and that if you have common sense you don't go into a man's room at 2:30 in the morning to get an autograph. I'm not saying he's a nice guy, I don't know him so i can't say what kind of guy he is.

You are very keen to defend the **** claim while ignoring all the other stuff.

Even if i accept that he was stitched up for the **** (which i do not), hes not exactly squeaky clean is he? All ive done is try to inject some ****ing realism into a thread which was trying to crown Tyson as a "nice guy". Tyson is many things. A nice guy he is not.
