Vladimir and everyone else that posts the facts about the fight between Vitali and Lewis. It's time to move along stop dwelling in the past.

It doesn't really matter if the stoppage was controversial or legit. What happend happend. Boxing or reality doesn't deal with what ifs? It deals with what acually happend and that it a stoppage saving his Eye sight.

After carefully studying both arguments I have to side with Vladimir23. OP argument is based on speculation and bias. Vladimir23 posted hard cold facts.

    Hey Wladmir23,
It seems you posted your reply even before reading my message, I never said Vitali would not destroy Lewis in a rematch. BUt what I did say was that YOU CANNOT BE PROUD OF DEFEATING A OLD FIGHTER, WHO FOUGHT THE BEST AND WAS GOING TO RETIRE AFTER HAVING AN EASY PAYDAY.

When compared prime to prime, Lewis = Vitali, perhaps greater if he had a better chin.
NO ONE CAN ARGUE ABOUT THAT. So, stop posting random replies again.

It's not a troll, it's called an unbiased comparison between fighters from different eras. I am afraid that anyone who speaks sense here is considered a troll, I guess.

When I say Klitschko, I mean either Wladmir or Vitali, stop combining them into one fighter.

Ok, so Vitali fought Lewis within 10 days of notice. True, Vitali landed more punches, true that Vitali made Lewis retire. But just that doesn't make him great. Don't forget that Lewis had come into the fight after almost an year of inactivity. Fighting a dangerous contender after being inactive for such a long time itself takes courage. You always seem to forget the fact that when an OLD GREAT CHAMP meets a FRESH GOOD CHAMP, 9 out of ten times, the younger ones prevail.

    The perfect example being
Jack Johnson vs Jessy williard (Not that Williard was a great fighter, but considering it was 1900s and that Jessy was a tall man weighing around 230+ pounds and standing at 6 foot 7 inches, it was not an even contest)

Muhammed Ali vs Leon Spinks (First fight)

    Joe Louis vs Marciano

Mostly, the younger and hungry champions wins fights. There is nothing to be proud of the fact.

And by the way, I am very doubtful if Wladmir would have defeated his brother VITALI, if they had not been born in the same family.

Vitali's iron chin + ability to throw huge volume of punches = one ****ed up Wladmir.

As for Manny Steward saying WLADMIR is the greatest, please note that the same MANNY STEWARD also said:

WLADMIR IS THE BETTER BOXER BUT LENNOX IS THE BETTER FIGHTER.

To put it shortly, he was conveying that Lennox was and will always be known as a special boxer in heavyweight history.

    CARE TO DISAGREE.........

    Look at Lewis record:
    He beat:
    Ruddock
    Mccall
    Bruno
    Botha
    Tyson
    Tua
    Morrisson
    Briggs
    Holyfield and finally
VITALI. Hey you can call it a fluke TKO, but it still counts as a WIN>

PUNCH STATS DONT MATTER WHEN YOU GET STOPPED>

Get the point buddy. That is why boxing is considered equivalent to life. No matter how much you score till the last round, you still LOSE BY STOPPAGE due to TKO OR KO.

    Get over it

    Rahman & McCall > Vitali

Vitali couldn't knock a faded, well past his prime Lewis, whereas Rahman & McCall knocked out a prime Lewis. Enough said.

David Haye's toe injury > Vitali's shoulder injury

David Haye boxed 12 rounds against the best HW on the planet (Wlad) with a bust toe, whereas Vitali couldn't go more than 10 round with a blown up LHW with his shoulder 'injury'.

    Chisora > Vitali

Derek slapped Vitali so hard he was too scared to do anything back.

Has Vladimir23 got some template file somewhere on his computer, which he uses to copy and paste that answer every single time? I've lost count the number of times I've seen those exact replies. It's getting a little embarrassing now.

  15. Look at Lennox record in rematches. Vitali vs Lewis 2 would have been identical to Lewis rematch against Rahman. One-two down the pipe and down goes Klitschko! The count is up to 9...10 and it's over! And he is not getting up any time soon folks. He's going into politics and making a comeback when all of the good fighters are old and or retired. TKO6
