these threads with Vladimir23 and the TKO6 bull**** are quickly becoming internet pollution that will never degrade enough. Aliens will find a desolate planet, find these threads, and wonder wtf was up with the TKO6 and "The Facts".

You can't hold that the #1 and #2 will never fight each other against the Klitschko's legacy in a debate. They're brothers, they can't.It should be ignored, not held against them.Anyone Vitali or Wlad has beat, has also been welcome to fighting the other one as well. They just dropped to far down the rankings for it to happen.

@1 Belt: Buddy I understand that they are brothers and cannot fight each other. But I am afraid that is the same reason why I cannot rate them as the greatest. To be called the greatest, you should have defeated the second best fighter of your era, which Wladmir and Vitali never could. It is not our fault that they are brothers, if you want to be called the greatest, you need to fight #2. This is true for all sports.

As for people here claiming that WLADMIR is the greatest because Manny Steward said so. I am afraid STEWARD works for Wladmir. Therefore, he is in a way obliged to compliment Wladmir. No coach will try to speak ill about their fighter. So stop holding on to Manny's statements.

As for WLADMIR23, who keeps posting punch stats, here's my reply:

Vitali -> 156 punches (But never managed to KO or TKO Lewis, who got KOed by single punches from Mccall and Rahman, both lesser fighters than Vitali)

Lewis - 102 punches (Well, what can I say, 102 punches enough to make Vitali bleed. Mind you a cut caused by a HUGE RIGHT HAND is not a fluke, no matter what people say. Afterall, did Vitali even bleed after the Vitali fight)

As for Wladmir being the greatest fighter of his era, he failed to avenge his defeat against Corry Sanders, got knocked down thrice against an average heavyweight called Sam Peter and is yet to face even one great pressure fighter abover 230 lbs. How can rate him great.

Wladmir's legacy is still in process. Maybe if he defeats some real good young heavyweights such as Fury, Price, Helenius, and Seth Mitchell, I'll rank him as great.

My biggest worry is that Klitschko fans want to label both Klitshckos as the "greatest" when they very well know that they don't deserve it.

I always keep getting excuses such as Vitali retired Lewis or Lewis avoided Wladmir.
I can't help thinking about the fact that Lewis possessed an awesome punch arsenal and better attitude than Wladmir. Both were defensive in their approach, but Lewis showed his "killer instinct" in matches even when he got hurt (Like Bruno I, Ray Mercer, Shannon Briggs, lewis etc) whereas Wladmir always choose to clinch and grab his opponents excessively and wait till they are exhausted to knock em out.

I wonder what would Wladmir have done if he had faced an in-form:
In-form, powerful, Shannon Briggs, who had the capacity to land some devastating punches
In-form Ray Mercer, who once nearly killed Tommy Morrisson with his punches and gave Lewis his second toughest fight of his lifetime.
In-form holyfield, who kept coming even after getting punched like hell
Face it, Lewis faced punches, who never said die and yet won.

If people state Wladmir's win over Tony Thompson in his first fight, lemme remind you that Thompson was one of the very few fighters, who actually came in prepared to win. Wladmir and Manny Steward actually stated that Thompson was Wladmir's toughest fight of his career.

Look at what Steward said about Thompson, "Thompson was by far the most difficult because of his size, he’s left-handed, he’s extremely relaxed, it’s very difficult to hurt him, we couldn’t really penetrate him with jabs, the only fighter that Wladimir couldn’t hit with jabs. When you hit him with right hands he rolls his body back where you don’t really get the full impact. He takes the steam out of the punch and then he walks you down, and he’s a little awkward the way he punches, just awkward enough to get you out of your rhythm. "

If a 36 year old Thompson can give Wladmir problems, think what a young and hungry fighter can do.
Please do not mistake my intentions. I still feel Wladmir and Vitali are great fighters. My only concern is people start going overboard and calling them the greatest when they aren't even close.

Wladimir's record, on it's own, is pretty solid. Vitali's is weaker. However, Wlad does have a lot of contenders in his record, plus beltholder, former champs, etc. He has dominated for years. Obviously he's not going to fight EVERYONE. No champion ever has done that. The only one that came close was Ali.

They never faced the second best boxer in their division because they are brothers, ffs. Of course you could make a case about it and allow Wlad or Vitali to fight #3. Also, rankings are subjective.

Lennox Lewis is obviously greater that Wlad or Vitali.
