...b/c of the great Henry Maske... ...He saw him beat Virgil Hill and took it for granted that he could deliver the same as him... ...an now, he could do even better than him and said afterwards..."Thank you Henry for giving me this oppertunity"... ...Maske should be praised as much as Vitali...thank you, Henry!
Bull****. Maske barely beat another semi-retired senior citizen and looked like ****. Nothing remotely comparable with Vitalis achievement.
Peter is washed up. The only fighter he has a chance against is Kimbo Slice - and that would be in an eating contest.
Just shows you that Peter has little talent....Vitali made it look easy..of course, Peter has been roughed up by Toney, McClne and Maskaev. When Vlad fought him, Peter was at his toughest...
He wanted a title shot and was motivated/healthy enough to go for it, why turn it down?, he had the Klitschko dream in plan anyway as he called out Maskaev at some point. Think they knew they had this fight in the bag coming into it after Peter's fights with McCline and Maskaev. Perfectly timed and against the #2 heavyweight out there, they're officially on top of the division right now with not many coming close. I'll give Povetkin the best chance right now and pick him to win, if he doesn't get it done then I don't see anyone getting any close to it.
You know what: If I get the chance to go to Wlad - Povetkin, I'll ask this Question to Vitali for real, saying that the answer is for Americans and he shoul answer it in Russian to describe his real feelings for it, no bullshitting for Germans...
It was like a golden gloves champion vs. the heavyweight champion. I think he smartly avoided Oleg and waited for Peter to dispatch him. He wouldve had more of a diffacult time with him and waited for this perfect chance. My guess is he defends against a semi big name like Haye or someone who will sell. Then KO's Valuev. And walks away.
Vitili was playing to the German audiance....Maske lost that fight by 8-4...one of the biggest robberies I'd ever seen out side of Italy.
