Yeah, that figure by MVC isn't even correct anymore.

Golovkin has an opportunity to make an extra 8 mill dollars off the PPV for this fight. So, if that's what MVC was holding on as proof Ward was A-side... well, it's wrong now.

It's a better fight, I don't argue but neither of the guys are really popular. Golovkin is a more mainstream fighter now.

Well why doesn't Ward make one of those fights then Golovkin will still be there when he comes out on top against Lem, then Golovkin will have options in Cotto or Canelo.

Not exactly sure what Golovkin earns. Part of his deal with HBO is that he owns the international rights for his fights, and sells them through his management company.

No idea what he makes from selling that in the former Soviet bloc countries, but I'll bet he gets a decent supplement.

Abraham, Jack or Degale are all little known names who don't bring alot of money to the table

other than dragging Froch or Kessler out of retirement and fighting them in their hometown in a rematch, Ward is out of options at 168

he must be feeling so stupid he didn't accept an easy win and career high payday by taking a Froch rematch at Wembley

It's become clearer in recent months that Ward is not the A-side and does not have the greater options.

Firstly DeGale made it clear he doesn't want to fight Ward, with his attempt to deflect a Ward fight but saying Ward didn't want to fight him. Jack has beaten Groves and made it clear he wants Bute or DeGale not Ward.

Then with Wards revelation at a 50/50 offer to Golovkin shows he isn't A-side if he was he wouldn't have offered an even split.

Ward's best options for a meaningful fight at the moment seems to be Kovalev as nobody in his current division with anything to lose wants to face him and neither does GGG.

What about Ward fighting Pascal? Good warm up at 175?

Why would he want to jeopardize all this to fight a guy who has no fans outside his home town and head butts you to death during a fight! In this day of boxing when economics and money comes before anything else. People should understand this.

    Ward's options for the day:

    tweet about Golden State Warriors
go to olive garden and get robbed
    sweep HBO's commentators' booth
