    Welcome back Rummy!!

Dont worry about the no love thus far, place has been really slow past wee while

I know youre a big Ward fan (one of very few) but good to see you having a long overdue pop at him

I dont know if he would have beaten Bute easily. Styles make fights. Ward doesnt seek and destroy like Carl, in hindsight Wards style would have been far easier for Lucian to deal with than what happened to the poor guy (well, it couldnt have been much worse)

Kessler - he butted Kessler into semi retirement, that was a disgraceful performance

Spot on about Dawson. He rightly gets no respect for beating Dawson, he would have beaten Dawson at 175, but he refused to chalenge himself, like hes doing now with the muderous Kovalev

He comes across as highly intelligent, and is obviously a fantastic boxer. But for some reason, seems totally unwilling to really test himself (hell he even refused to fight arguably the second most dangerous guy for him at 168 in Dirrell)

Continuously behaving like that's just not gonna cut it with boxing fans, and it seems a lot on here couldnt give a damn about him and think he should just crawl back under the stone he's popped his head out of

    Thanks for watching, man!

    :thumbsup

I'll get back to you in more detail later, and all of your points are fair, although I don't agree with you on some stuff. More later.

Except that I think Ward is superior to Dirrell, and would not suffer the same struggles over there fighting Froch a second time.

If you get the chance to watch, let me know.

These are the areas where I do not necessarily agree with you.

    1. I do think Ward would have beaten Bute, and done so with relative ease. Yes, styles do make fights, and because of that, I think Ward would have a field day with someone like Bute who is predictable and would have been a sucker for traps finding himself frequently walking into Ward's shots, much like the Cobra was against Ward when it came to the left hook - a punch Froch never saw coming.

    2. Butted Kessler into semi-retirement?
Come one man! Ward schooled and outclassed him, and I find it impossible to believe that anyone truly believes any incidental headbutts had any impact on the final outcome of that one. Ward is simply a cut above Kessler.

    3. I agree on this one that it was disappointing Ward didn't insist the fight with Chad happen at 175. He would have better served his own interest insisting on such.

But I do believe that Kovalev is, bar none, the only true threat to Ward actively fighting south of cruiser.

Stop that. Kessler had the best win of his career after the Ward loss.
Say a falsehood enough and it becomes a truth.

Kessler wasn't in the fight from round 1 onwards. An accidental head clash wasn't the cause of the Kessler ass whoopin Ward dished out.

reasonable assessment. i think ward's been given a great opportunity, and can't believe he hasn't grasped it. it'd be a big ask of anyone to come back after so little action against froch, but ward was good enough.
