Bute went on the road against a rugged opponent and had his ass kicked. That's boxing. Ward has never suggested he would go to Canada. He's been reluctant when he has been asked about it. Seems he's worried not to get a fair shake.

I posted links in the Andre Dirrel wants Andre Ward thread. That's exactly what happened. Ward kept delaying and swerving a fight with Anthony Dirrel that he was calling for. WBC stripped him for not fighting his mandatory. Andre Ward called it a business decision but then went on to fight the likes of Rodriguez. WBC gave Andre Emeritus status which he vacated. He saw Anthony as high risk/low reward.

Not clever at all, Fraud rhymes with Ward. When you try to con the paying public, and try to pull the wool over peoples eyes, you should expect criticism.

Mind you Rummy, you and Andre share the Hypocrisy gene, remember how you rubbished Kovalev and predicted Nard would school him ?

Yet ever since Kovalev dismantled him, you've been riding Kovalevs **** and proclaiming him as the second coming.

Nobody likes a smart ****, and people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. ;)

I don't know, I'm just pointing out that Andre Ward vs Carl Froch may be a big event that would generate some money, but it's probably a mismatch as well.

Ward beat Froch convinsingly, in a good fight. Now Froch is older and it's easy to see how much slower he is. I see no reason to believe that Froch would be competitive.

Therefor, I don't think it's beyond question that Ward digged up someone who can make for a more interesting fight. Granted, Ward has a track record of messing his career up, so I'm not overly optimistic about it.

ward should grab the weakest belt at super middlweight and defend it against bums in oakland like "zaggers".

Hey, I was wrong about Bernard-Kovalev and admitted that almost immediately after the fight. A lot of my posts were meant as wind-ups, but I was wrong on that fight and I'll surely be wrong again. But if you read my more serious posts on that fight (which admittedly were fewer in number), I always said it would come down to who dictated distance. I thought Hopkins would be able to walk Kovalev into traps and outbox him. I was never sold on Kovalev, and where he impressed me most was his disciplined game plan where he successfully controlled the distance, and he did that impressively. So yeah, my opinion changed on him a great deal, and I give him lots of credit for that victory. Outmaneuvering even a 50 year old Hopkins in a battle of position is no easy task.

So how exactly am I being hypocritical?

    Thanks!
    :cheers

Not sure. Probably a week or two before the fight, but I have a good idea of how I honestly believe this might pan out.

That's the thing about modern day boxing. Just fight for god's sake. Leave your Ego at home, Ward.

SOB Ward refused to fight Stevenson after being called out live on HBO. Ward even refused to fight Stevenson at 168, that shows what Ward really is all about.........................Ward will only fight in his home town, with his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc., Ward believes that he is the only boxer in the world today and should always have everything his way..........................Ward wants the biggest payday's in boxing while fighting in him hometown with around 2,000 fans at ringside...............I don't care if I ever see Ward fight again.

All Ward had to do was beat Bute?

Sorry, but these don't qualify as answers. Try again. Ward showed us both of his hands after the Froch fight. Ward took time off to heal and rest. You have no clue what you're talking about. Bute tok a huge gamble thinking Froch wa done and got tko'd. He blew his chance at the moment.

The "champ" didn't dictate anything. He thought that Bute was coming along, and after some rest from the Super 6, had Bute beaten Froch, they could've made the fight. All Bute had to do was beat Ward, not the other way around. This blatant waste of an attempt at a sneak attack was pathetic.
