Why was AJ's preparation and tactics so bad? He could/should have won!

... and an inexplicably hesitant Ngannou... who probably wishes he could get a rematch...

AJ is a Big Stiff..... and should retire, Marcus Mcdonnell should never referee or judge a fight again and Hearn should have his licence ripped up.
AJ is shot to bits and probably lost a few years off his life last night with the beatdown i witnessed. He was knocked over in just about every round, crawled back to his corner and ended up flat on his face with his leg in the air as though he was an Olympic break-dancer. He has some heart to keep getting up but a big heart can lead to serious consequences in boxing and its a referees / corners job to take care of this so onto Mcdonnell.

Mcdonnell must have had a acca on the line for a Joshua win, not calling knockdowns and watching AJ ship heavy blows round after round. At one point I was thinking does he want AJ to get seriously hurt and maybe killed, even when AJ's arse was in the air and his face on the floor flailing trying to get up he continued to count even though it was clear that he could count to 50 and AJ would still have not got up.

Now on to Hearn instantly calling rematch and making sure he put it into the public domain there was a rematch clause shows he couldn't care less about a fighters health or concern for his 'Friend', vile human and absolute narcissist

Good post. People also need to realise that Dubois is a much more fluid and natural boxer due to starting early as a boy. You can see it in his movement. The challenges he has taken over the past year have also allowed him to rapidly develop his boxing sense at championship level. Meanwhile, AJ has never really had this. He's always relied on physicality and having the 'right moves' drilled for the bout - like cramming for a test. His in-ring adaption skills are non existent, his base skill level is poor and he loses focus easily. What little boxing sense he did develop over his championship career seems to have vanished over the course of his last few tailor made bouts. That's not even mentioning the beating he took last night, which could very likely leave him completely shot at top level. I personally think he has actually regressed in terms of skill and ring generalship.

Contrary to what some think about AJ coming in a rematch with a new game plan, I think he would look even worse and get destroyed quickly. He has absolutely nothing for Dubois except physicality, which Dubois matches him in.

Dubois exceeds him IMO quicker, can put more punches together, better stamina, much much better chin, and arguably a more naturally heavy handed puncher. Joshua may have more 1 shot power but Dubois has those heavy brick type hands that just make every shot so clubbing you could see him moving Joshua all over the place even with just the blocked shots. Just rag dolling him with every shot.
