Why was Ali never considered a "mob fighter" despite his association with Black Muslims?

I respect that and completely agree w Ali being used by them. Would even argue Malcolm too but he was such a driving force to get new recruits they hid their jealousy until they could justify killing him.

Ali said his biggest regret was his break up with Malcolm. Do you watch the Godfather of Harlem? Malcolm plays a prominent role in it. Ali even makes a cameo.

    Points I forgot to add:

It is possible to get someone from a race a person dehumanizes pregnant. Unfortunately it happened all the time due to r--- in slavery for instance.

Some grandparents still shun their grandkids for having mixed kids which is effed up so having mixed grandchildren doesn't always make them less racist.

I am critical of Ali for turning his back on Malcolm and as u stated @ThatOne , he did too but I get it. The Nation wanted him in for superficial reasons anyways as u also said so they wouldn't have a problem shunning him if he openly sided w Malcolm. It really would've put his life in danger so I understand why he didn't tho again it isn't something I agree with.

A huge difference is that the Mafia had a substantial influence on boxing, complete control in some places, for decades, while the NOI were just a weirdo cult who were running the boxing world.

That's right. Many people's views evolve.

Or.... people are simply giving Ali credit for the good things he did. Remember he was overly criticized for everything back then.

It's amazing how some people are so intent on making complex historical figures into bad guys.

He didn't get the universal adoration or close to that until he was severely faded. Especially from someone like me who was born when Tyson was fading it feels weird going back and seeing how hated he was.

Correct. Tupac is my favorite rapper of all time, but he messed up putting his hands on a known killer with at least ten bodies to his name. Orlando was being investigated for a murder of a Palmer Blocc Crip him and Deandrae (who was sitting next to Orlando in the car when he shot Tupac) did back in April.

Pac was a reckless dude. I get him feeling he owes Suge so he aligned himself w Suge and Bloods connected to him but Suge is lucky he didn't get killed in later shootings. Pac was not but even then Suge is locked up so not like he has the best luck anyways. Pac really should've stuck w movies, black centric speeches n music leaving the "MOB 5hit" to the actual Pirus. It really cost him his life no superstar needs to b involved in gang 5hit yet still many of these mainstream rappers now still don't learn.

Tying in with Tyson again, Tupac would’ve survived that night if he hadn’t befriended Tyson and attended the Seldon fight.

Tyson also warned Pac about hanging out with Jimmy Henchman and Haitian Jack.

Pac ended up getting robbed and shot in New York by their associates.
