Never realize that. The fighter with the best right hand since he moved up was probably Clottey and he landed that thing everytime he threw it. Which wasnt much but still.

And I always figured Floyd's right hand would be his key to victory if they ever fought now thinking about it, it would def have to be.

for sure. the good right counter timed as Pac tries to faint or something. The intriguing thing is that Floyd tends to get hit by the left hand from a south paw a little more than he gets hit by the right of an orthodox, so that's why this fight is so interesting and why people have such different opinions: pac sucks against good right hand counter punchers who move (comparitively, not sucking absolutely) and floyd occasionally gets hit with the left hand cleanly, whereas right handed shots are usually rolled with. its a style match up of weaknesses, which is bizarre.

However, onto the original thing, Pac had a great performance against MAB the first time, presaging what he would put together beginning with the second morales fight. I think that was a focused look forward and that he did not fight one dimensionally that night, and Barrera really does have a bad style for stopping Pac's strafing.

I have the careers of Mab, EM and JMM, and they are all extremely talented. I think Mab was in a lot of wars early and then changed his style, but when I watched everythiing back to back he really didn't look awful until the Khan fight - that second Pac fight was not as clear as I remembered (or maybe Pac just let him survive, I get that feeling a lot, too). all three are masters and I think MAB's case for greatness even at an advanced age is very very clear in his close fight with JMM, who went on to prove his greatness in a big way since then at 135. I rank that as the best featherweight era of all time, honestly. and if JMM beats Pac, it totally puts the current welterweight era to shame.

This is the worst Welterweight era of all-time imo.Regarding natural 147lbers.

Just an awful past half decade full of unskilled hypejobs and nondescript C level contenders.

If you watch the missing and the trouble just simple movement Mosley caused Pacquiao, you'd change your mind real quick that Pac let MAB survive in their rematch.

Pacquiao did not let MAB survive.....MAB drew himself a survival gameplan, implemented it, and it worked to perfection.
The gameplan of lateral movement away from Pacquiao's left is a sound one, but you have to implement in it right hand counters off of Pacquiao lunging with his left hand on the moving target if you want to see that gamplan through to victory.

Neither MAB or Mosley were adept at moving to the left and shooting that right hand counter off of a Pac miss, thus they became content to just move away to the laterals to survive.
