Why was Calzaghe beating Lacy considered such a big win for Calzaghe?

    Calzaghe wore 2 of Lacy's biggest shots in the first couple of rounds and they didn't faze him (I recall a left hook and a right uppercut from Lacy), which prompted Calzaghe to say "He can't punch ****" between rounds.

    After that, Lacy didn't land a punch, Calzaghe shut him out, it was a 12-round schooling of epic proportions.

    Lacy's corner should have pulled him out of there by the 10th at the latest, even Shaw was calling for it from the crowd.

    Because, most American love black fighters. If Lacey was Nigerian, they still would have been all on his stick. Never mind that they are bums.

    the win was not big just the out come as he was not recognised as a big money fighter until he beat lacy,his biggest fights came after that so if lacy didnt come over to fight calz then he would of retired pretty much unknown world wide as he is now.
