I don't know boxing as well as you guys so I'm just wondering why Canelo was trying to outbox Mayweather in the earlier rounds rather than using his weight advantage and pressuring him/closing off the ring? I mean you aren't going to outbox the best boxer of this generation especially when boxing isn't one of Canelo's fortes, right? Is there a reason why that was Canelo's gameplan? I also don't understand why he was respecting Mayweather's power to the extent he did by being cautious and not being the aggressor considering the weight advantage, Mayweather not necessarily known for his power, and Canelo after the fight saying "I didn't really feel his punches. They weren't that strong."

Pardon me if I sound ignorant, I'm just wondering!

Because both he and his idiotic team and Oscar De La Hoya thought that was the blueprint.
