Clottey did have talent and how do you figure this helps the Anti Mayweather agenda could you go into detail about that.. ohh cus he is on Pacs resume?

Was Clottey not ranked one of the top WWs at the time Manny fought him? Floyd went on Vacation, lost the urge, demanded some testing he has never done before, Manny had no choice but to take the top guys that were there and fight them.

I Disagree with what your saying, but its obvious this is what Larrys gay ass was looking for....

It helps an anti-Mayweather agenda because people will say he ducked Clottey when he retired and act like Clottey was some sort of threat. :-(

I said Clottey was highly ranked. I'm not sure why he kept such a high ranking though considering he lost to cotto, lost to Marg, and only beat Judah years before.

That speaks more to the absence of accomplishments and talent in the division than it does Clottey being a good fighter.

At the time, Ortiz. Clottey wasn't even at 147 anymore.

Just a few years back, Clottey had a 50-50 chance against the other top WW's (outside may/pac). Even the fights he lost, people didn't feel the better guy necessarily won. It was more that Clottey lost it. That is how good he was. Another thing is you can pick apart ANYBODY's resume in boxing if you really wanted to.

Not only that, who would even be surprised if he threw the Margarito & Pacquaio fights? Margarito was being pushed hard by Arum at the time because he was Mexican & labeled him the most "feared man in the division." All of a sudden Clottey stops throwing? He didn't even break his hand in the fight & never gave a clear answer what was wrong with his hand. When it came time to throw the Pacquaio fight, he learned from the Margarito fight not to go so hard & just didn't throw.

i think the fact that Pacquiao humiliated and emasculated Cotto made Clottey far too reluctant.

If Pac had shown weakness against Cotto and didnt make the Rican run like a ******, Clottey would have changed his gameplan.

He was considered a top opponent due to the lack of top opponents at the time. His biggest accomplishment was beating an over the hill Judah and thats all

2011 what the **** you talking about Clottey was a figure in the division in 08 when Margarito beat the day lights out of Cotto, Floyd retired because at that point he had, Williams, Clottey, Pacquiao and Margarito all looking his direction he wanted nothing to do with any of them

In '08 Pac was at 135 :patsch

Ortiz was a bigger threat to Floyd than Clottey at any time regardless, I don't care when they fought. Ortiz at least had a puncher's chance. Clottey has pillow hands, he has nothing at all for Floyd.
