Why was Cotto so much easier for Pacquiao than he was for Mayweather?

Simple, Pac fought a cotto a cathcweight, a cotto with no trainer and was wearing 8oz gloves.

Mayweather had to move up to fight Cotto, no cathweight. Cotto had a solid new trainer and improved conditioning, and Floyd had to use big pillow 10oz gloves.

Cotto didnt have a trainer vs Pacquiao. He had a motivator waiving mits over Miguels head and absolutely no game-plan. Based off Cotto's performance and pace of the fight, the training methods of Pedro Diaz appear very effective. Not only that he gives great advice. Whenever Miguel wasnt doing something, Pedro was sure to address it and Miguel would acknowledge and put it into action. They make a great team. Also Miguel came in at a solid 154 which 9 lbs makes a huge impact. There is a reason Pacquiao would not fight any heavier than 147. Cotto was even open to a catch-weight of 150 and Team Pac still didnt want none. When the playing-field is even, Pacquiao aint as dominant as you think he is. And that will show yet again come June 9th

So if cotto didnt take a **** that morning and had that pound he would have ripped pac apart lol. ****en *****s. Pac did to cotto what floyd dreamed he would do. Cottos prime was the 140 division he has no buisness fighting at 154 hes to slow there thats why floyd wanted it there.

They say Cotto was "damaged" against Pac.

Pac put on another beating and made Cotto "more damaged"

Yet Floyd was bloodied. LMFAO. If Pac was there instead of Cotto, Floyd would still be in the hospital up to this date. FACT.

Cotto is patient. He has a good offense. His defense can be overwhelmed like it was against Pac and Margo (and Clottey/Mosley to a certain extent) but Floyd doesn't have an overwhelming offense.

Offensively, Pac is on another level compared to Floyd (several even).

Defensively, Floyd is very good but against a guy like Cotto who has a very good arsenal, can mix it up, can keep you in front of him and can be patient... the best defense is offense. Cotto ain't exactly a counterpuncher either. He's more of a boxer. A boxer is often a tough style matchup for a counterpuncher since he is patient and doesn't give many opening. An agressive and unorthodox style will give a boxer hell because it doesn't give him time to pick his spots. Pac forces fighters to think every minute of every second.
