Why was Emanuel Steward at the Cotto fight?

I'm sure Wladimir is more than prepared, but still, I would have told HBO that I was busy.

Didn't Manny go back to commentary for Cotto-Gomez just minutes after his fighter Cintron got stopped by Margarito on the undercard?

 

Because Larry and Lennox were being inducted into the Hall of Fame that night, so they needed SOMEONE there to round out the team.

 

You know, that he DID ****in' do! I don't understand why, or don't remember him "hatin'" on Cotto before, but got damn man...he didn't even give Cotto 1 ****in' round.:shock:

I remember one point where Lampley said to him, "Well surely you had to give Cotto (i think jim said the 3rd and 5th?...but you get the point) such and such rounds, and Steward just laughed.

He's done this on a few occasions. The one you mentioned, he came back in the "Suit and Tie" that they wear. I can remember another broadcast or two where Manny just joined the team still wearing his "Corner man" outfit.:yep

Yea his hate on Cotto was utter bull****. He gave Cotto no credit whatsoever for what he was doing.
