The fight didn't make much sense other than being a big money fight but as a boxing fan the financial well being of already rich boxing stars doesn't concern me.

Canelo is a Floyd's leftover who arguably also lost to Lara, Trout and Cotto. He has never even fought at the middleweight. Jacobs and Saunders are better opponents for GGG and more intriguing fights. Canelo vs GGG would be just another mismatch, easy KO win for GGG. Canelo hasn't shown anything to prove that he deserves to be in the same ring with Golovkin

Totally agree! Saunders and Jacobs fights are far more interesting. All 3 beat Canelo handily. Everyone hypnotised by the golden boy hype while GGG smiles and cringes at the same time.

Yes, Canelo/Golovkin is a mismatch, which is the main reason this fight will not happen. Canelo stands no chance. I think deep down he also knows it.

I don't think he can beat most of the top MWs at 160. Saunders would out-reach him and out-slick him easily for 12 rounds. Lamiex would knock him out. He may land on Jacobs due to chin, but still favoring Jacobs.

Canelo is too small for MW. There is a difference between being a natural 160 pounder and ballooning upto it. Most MW can not get down to 155 like Canelo because their frame will not allow it. No, Canelo doesnt have some superior ability to cut down to 155. He can do so BECAUSE he is SMALL.

Don't care to see him with Golovkin. Bring Jacobs, Saunders then move up to 168.

^ ^ Well you know, people have different ideas! I count the current Top-5 mega stars as (no order to this) WARD, GOLOVKIN* KOVALEV, ALVAREZ, PACQUIAO (Pacman is "retired"). *GGG "messed-up" admin-wise holding a "IBO".
