Insecurity yes. Weakness no. He became the villain because that is what brought the most money. Nothing to do with his personal beliefs.

If you could give Floyd the choice to make what he makes by being the villain or the good guy I think he'd choose the good guy.

But the fans show what they want to see from a fighter because if being a good guy was working then he should have been on top years ago while he had his pleasing boxer/puncher boxing style.

Floyd is a mentally screwed up human being. He gets mad, angry, cries, gives to the homeless, verbally attacks old men (Larrry Merchant & his dad), loves money more than God, cusses out his own father then praises God for everything, basically, he is mentally unstable and needs serious help. Can you imagine what a head case he would be if he actually steps into a ring with Manny Pacquiao? He would end up in a nut house.

Thats what Floyd does, hes an emotional person. I bet alot more boxers do it they just do it at home, Floyd shows it at the press conference. I couldnt imangine being a boxer, that **** has got to **** your mind up thinking about life in death in there.

While I'm not gonna say these boxers don't put them self's in danger when they step in the ring, but that **** above is laughable bro. Life and Death 1 time every 20 months? Really, there are people that do that **** on the daily bro, and they're not crying like that *****.

The man's a mental midget, there are hookers with better self esteem then this *******. If he didn't have money he wouldn't have ****. People don't hang with him cause he is a good human being. The sad truth is, he can't box forever, the money will run out, and then he is gonna come face to face with real life.

He just can“t control his feelings....We saw it at the weigh in,we saw it in the "interview" with larry merchant, and again at the pressconference. He also broke down, right after he beat Gatti.
IMO we saw it in the fight, knocking out Ortiz when he was saying sorry to Floyd!!
To much pressure i think... He is just a big kid.

i see some here blaming the fans. but floyd is a grown man, he can decide for himself. it's weakness right there if you have to sacrifice your name and reputation for the sake of the fans and money.

if he wants to be supported and respected, but in this business and with his style it does not sell, if he has a strong character, he would deal with not earning tons of money.

if he wants money and wants to play this game to earn it, then he should have the balls to deal with the hate.

unfortunately, he wants both and to me, that's bull****.

Im not saying boxers die all the time. I'm just saying the mind state you got to be in can make a boxer go crazy. I think Mayweather is so strong mentally that when the fight finishes he really is exhausted and he knows he made it out another battle with another win.

Theres probably alot more boxers that cry that just do it behind closed doors thats all

One might argue that insecurity is a sign of weakness.
