Wow there are really lengthy posts enabling Floyd once again. Ah, what torment these lost souls must feel just being fans of Floyd.

First time Ive seen the whole clip (well, I switched off after about 6 mins but that was enough)

It baffles me how one guy can be so unstable outside the ring but so in control inside the ring... scary.

I can't begin to tell you just how homosexual that looked. I'm now off to wash the gay out of my eyes with bleach.

It was just after the match with Baldomir. People were walking out of the match and booing due to boredom, and the commentator team were criticising the fact that Floyd showed no inclination to put Baldomir away. (There was one particular moment when Lampley mentioned that Floyd had compared himself to Ray Robinson, and Steward was horrified, with Larry chuckling at his reaction.) It eventually ended after going the distance. Merchant then brought up the issue of it being so dull after the fight, and Floyd exploded at him:

After this, Floyd had a sort of break down during the post-fight press conference and started crying, which leads into the video in the OP. I think he was distraught because he knew, at heart, that Larry was telling the truth about how dull that fight had been -- how could Floyd not know, when he could hear the crowd booing, or their odd silence at the end of most rounds, when there is normally cheering? He was frustrated by the fact that he outboxed Baldomir handily, and yet no one was interested...it probably didn't feel fair to him that he could be so good, and yet so bad at the same time, hence why he felt unappreciated and started crying and promising to retire.
